The Drop in Centre

Ok, that's quite enough. This "small" snow storm has been actively snowing here for 49 hours and over 8 inches.  It can stop any time, and the one they are talking about for Monday can just make a right hand turn and head out to sea please!

Agree with @Kitt. We've gotten the rains and with the ground so saturated from an unusually wet January, the river is now at major flood stage, although it's still way below the records set by Hurricanes Matthew and Florence.

Okay...my phone has been wonky or else I'm an idiot. I lost the ability to respond to anything in the DiC and was going nuts. I somehow left the group. Have no idea how. (Unless I got booted....you can't get rid of me that easy😆.....but ya gotta admit it was quiet all day!)

Anyway...thanks @Mikiesboy for the update on Molly. Was getting a little worried.

@Kitt  @spyke Hang in there. It's gotta end soon. Damn groundhog!

@rickproehl Loved your joke. Random information...a co-worker went to India a few years ago and had a side trip to Kathmandu. The guide explained that Himalayan is actually pronounced Him-all-yan and not Him-a-lay-an. As soon as she said that my world cracked just a little. I now can't unhear that pronunciation 😁

Hope everyone is okay.

Good morning everyone.

I hope everyone is doing okay. It's been a quiet weekend.

Have a good day!

Quiet here also, just our coldest overall weekend of the year. Will have one more small burst of wintry precip Monday morning, then be up to 60 by later in the week. I made 80 chocolate chip cookies Saturday morning, there's less than 30 left right now.

I'm going with the "someone broke in and stole some cookies" story, otherwise my boyfriend and I are pigs.

I've never understood the whole "need for sleep" deal. Pre Covid I would sleep 4 hours max, get up at 3am and go to play poker at the casino. Now I'm lucky to make it to 6am before I get up, it seems such a waste to sleep when the entire depth of human knowledge is just waiting for me on the net. I've really gotten into physics and cosmology lately.

I'd go for morning sex but my bf hasn't grown out of that teenage need to sleep even though he's 25 he still likes to lay there until 9am. He's got his bar exam in a few days, then he finds out if he passed in May. At that point he's told me he's going to go to work for his father's law firm.

We're going from 45 F below normal a few days ago to 20 F above normal today -- then dropping 30 F+ over the next two days.  Hips are already not happy.

SP has hernia surgery this morning.  Send us good thoughts.

Good thoughts are on their way...

It's been so long! How have you been, Reader?

I’ve been doing okay. The routine has been the same for a long time now, but with the last few weeks, shovelling snow has been a change of pace.

We've had a lot of snow here too and it's been absolutely freezing, but it got warmer over the weekend and now nearly all the snow has melted. Nice that it's not so cold, less nice that there's no more snow to brighten up the dark nights.
