I don't get them very often as they aren't made on site anymore (after the Dunkin Man died no one wanted to get up and make the donuts). They're so much better from the local mom and pop places. 5 minutes ago, Mikiesboy said: oh i've not had one of those... i like Krispy kreme glazed .. i've not tried anything else from them Warm Krispy Kremes are da bomb! Mikiesboy Posted August 2 Author Posted August 2 Can 2 minutes really change your health? Science says yes. Research shows that short, 1-2 minute bursts of movement—like climbing stairs or doing jumping jacks—can improve your heart health, metabolism, insulin sensitivity, and mood. One study even showed that 3 bouts of 1-2 minutes of exercise per day could reduce mortality by 38%–40%. We call these microworkouts. And we recommend building up to 3, 2-10 minute microworkouts per day for maximum benefit. For example: Do modified wall push-ups while your coffee brews in the morning. Do 20 squats before using the bathroom midday. Do 2 minutes of jumping jacks before eating dinner in the evening. Here’s how you can get started today: Choose an exercise you can do for 1 minute, like squats or marching in place. Plan to do this exercise before or after a daily habit. Add it to your calendar for extra accountability. Noom's paid experiences include a Noom Move feature with thousands of workouts, as short as 5 minutes. You can filter by time, intensity, and type of activity to find workouts to meet your needs. *****Noom keeps asking Danny back... sadly if you leave there's no place to tell them you're happy and lost the weight you wanted to; that there is nothing wrong. I liked the sound of this if you're having problems getting going with exercise.. this is a good place to start. 5
Popular Post Wayne Gray Posted August 2 Popular Post Posted August 2 I am boozy. I know I sound like I have a problem, and maybe I do. But. Fuck it. I am free. Tonight, I am not worried. Or ashamed. Or scared. Tonight, I am free. And freedom seems to be the thing feared by those who want control. So I will keep freeing my mind by caring less about what I'm "supposed" to worry over. I will keep unleashing that which is supposed to be good, and subjected, and tamed. We will be what we must, to survive, and thrive, and exist. In spite of what we should aspire to be. I will continue. To be me. 1 7

Personally, I think you very aware of who you truly are but keep it quiet until you have a drink or a gummy. Those trigger the flood gates. You do know that alcohol is terrible for you, messes with hormones and makes you fat. Stop drinking. I don't have much good to say about drugs either. And don't tell me you need a drink ... you don't. Take it from an ex-drinker. Best thing I ever did... well other than marry tim. 5 2

The ones I take are an even split between CBD and THC. They make my joints hurt less, probably from the CBD, which is non-psychoactive. It helps me sleep when I'm tossing and turning, too. Again, the CBD will do that without THC. I'm almost out of the ones I've got, and I plan to buy only CBD this time around. All of the effects I actually want without getting high. Once I found out how the body processes alcohol (it prioritizes it over anything else until it's metabolized) I realized that yes, it's bad for people trying to lose weight. I don't crave either booze or THC. But I watched my brother wreck his life through drugs and alcohol. So ... the genes for addiction are there. I have an appointment later this month to talk about my rising blood pressure and the need to lose some weight. Alcohol will be on the table as something I surrender if it will help me avoid a lifetime of medication I don't need if I am disciplined. I'll also get my testosterone checked, just in case it dipped again. When that happens, I am a lot less resilient. I feel "off" and wrong. It's a cascading effect that touches everything. I am not feeling the same level of wrongness I did before, the first time I dropped way below normal for a guy my age, but some of it is there. That 100% has an impact on weight loss and muscle development, too. And guess what else affects Testosterone? Booze! So, yeah. I know what needs doing. Honestly, if I could make my goals happen without alcohol, but also without meal prep, I'd do it. I hate meal prep that much. 5 1

I also know that I put sh*t off and paid for it dearly. So, I hate to see others waste time and/or avoid getting help. I don't anymore when it comes to my health. It affects me and the promises I made to my husband. You've always said to tim that the meds he has to take just help balance chemicals within him. He tried going without them. I agreed with that, then when awful things happened, I didn't. I know you like to try on your own. I hope it works. It may happen that you still need some medication, but less of it, which is always a bonus. Meal prep. I don't even know what that means. You know I'm not great in the kitchen, thankfully tim and Danny both are. Is Meal Prep a requirement to eating right? Really? Would a subscription food service help you? I'm glad you're off to the doctor. People love and need you and you deserve a long and healthy life. 6

Meal prep is preparing most or all meals ahead of time and freezing them. It's pretty much required for serious efforts related to bodybuilding and truly transforming the body. At least, it likely is for me. The pain point here is the time it takes, and how long I'd need to tie up the kitchen to do it. It'd take getting organized, buying all of the ingredients necessary, and then preparing them all at once in our little kitchen. I've tried this before. Kevin HATES it, because I'm in "his" space for so long. I hate it because I give up half of a day on the weekend to do it. It turns into a chore that must be done, but once done, it's over. I keep telling myself that, but it doesn't diminish my dislike of the task. It's just something I have to get over and do. No other tactic has worked, and I know this would. 3 1

Not a fan of cooking myself. I know I just would not do that. I know tim prepares things and freezes them. Not full meals however. I suppose it might be an necessary evil but you may not have to do it forever. 5 1
Brayon Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Since moving into the apartment, I'm finding cooking for 1 person hard. I eat leftovers, but when I make enough for 4 meals, eating the same thing gets old fast. Sadly, my dinner has been turning into frozen meals you can pop in the microwave, or ultra simple stuff, like grits, eggs, toast. PB&J sandwiches too. I've looked into Factor_ and other meal subscriptions and not really cost effective for the long term. 3
