I quite like Timmy’s BC, but it’s been years since I’ve had one, but I do recall they need to be fresh to be good.

The worst one I’ve ever had was crispy crème’s sad attempt.

I like the glazed ones as well. Though, come to think of it, I haven’t seen them in my local Loblaws affiliate. Perhaps, they’re just in the Toronto stores?

Dunkin's donuts are nowhere near as good as they used to be. I don't get them very often as they aren't made on site anymore (after the Dunkin Man died no one wanted to get up and make the donuts). They're so much better from the local mom and pop places.

The same happened with Timmy’s after the company was sold. Changed recipes for food and coffee.

Whatever happened to the if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it way of thinking, eh?

Can 2 minutes really change your health?

Science says yes. Research shows that short, 1-2 minute bursts of movement—like climbing stairs or doing jumping jacks—can improve your heart health, metabolism, insulin sensitivity, and mood. One study even showed that 3 bouts of 1-2 minutes of exercise per day could reduce mortality by 38%–40%.

We call these microworkouts.

And we recommend building up to 3, 2-10 minute microworkouts per day for maximum benefit. For example:

  1. Do modified wall push-ups while your coffee brews in the morning.
  2. Do 20 squats before using the bathroom midday.
  3. Do 2 minutes of jumping jacks before eating dinner in the evening.

Here’s how you can get started today:

  • Choose an exercise you can do for 1 minute, like squats or marching in place.
  • Plan to do this exercise before or after a daily habit.
  • Add it to your calendar for extra accountability.

Noom's paid experiences include a Noom Move feature with thousands of workouts, as short as 5 minutes. You can filter by time, intensity, and type of activity to find workouts to meet your needs.

*****Noom keeps asking Danny back... sadly if you leave there's no place to tell them you're happy and lost the weight you wanted to; that there is nothing wrong.

I liked the sound of this if you're having problems getting going with exercise.. this is a good place to start.

This man.

Lots of information about childhood trauma and how to stop being a victim in your own life. I've heard Dr. Maté before.  If you struggle, listen to him, read his books ... he can help.

Yes, he's brilliant.

I knew that you know. I also know that I put sh*t off and paid for it dearly. So, I hate to see others waste time and/or avoid getting help. I don't anymore when it comes to my health. It affects me and the promises I made to my husband.

You've always said to tim that the meds he has to take just help balance chemicals within him. He tried going without them.  I agreed with that, then when awful things happened, I didn't.

I know you like to try on your own. I hope it works.  It may happen that you still need some medication, but less of it, which is always a bonus.

Meal prep. I don't even know what that means. You know I'm not great in the kitchen, thankfully tim and Danny both are.  Is Meal Prep a requirement to eating right?  Really?  Would a subscription food service help you?

I'm glad you're off to the doctor. People love and need you and you deserve a long and healthy life.

Thanks for the nice words.

Meal prep is preparing most or all meals ahead of time and freezing them. It's pretty much required for serious efforts related to bodybuilding and truly transforming the body. At least, it likely is for me. The pain point here is the time it takes, and how long I'd need to tie up the kitchen to do it. It'd take getting organized, buying all of the ingredients necessary, and then preparing them all at once in our little kitchen. I've tried this before. Kevin HATES it, because I'm in "his" space for so long. I hate it because I give up half of a day on the weekend to do it. It turns into a chore that must be done, but once done, it's over. I keep telling myself that, but it doesn't diminish my dislike of the task.

It's just something I have to get over and do. No other tactic has worked, and I know this would.

Since moving into the apartment, I'm finding cooking for 1 person hard. I eat leftovers, but when I make enough for 4 meals, eating the same thing gets old fast.

Sadly, my dinner has been turning into frozen meals you can pop in the microwave, or ultra simple stuff, like grits, eggs, toast. PB&J sandwiches too.

I've looked into Factor_ and other meal subscriptions and not really cost effective for the long term.

You should Google “recipes for one”. The following is just one I found, but it seems to be packed with a lot of varied options.

Oops. it would help if I post the link…🙄
