Popular Post Mikiesboy Posted March 24 Author Popular Post Posted March 24 It is cold out there today. Walked over to get a haircut because Michael was tired of me looking like a tramp and the wind is horrible. It was a little sunny earlier but it is now gone too. The temperature has dragged itself up to 31F. Michael ordered chicken caesar salad from the kitchen tonight...so i went and got stuff for that too. Not really salad weather, but there we are. i hope everyone is having a nice Tuesday.. i feel like having a nap now. haha 6

Happy Spring I would have loved to have travelled to Canada when younger but the cold 🥶 Here balcony bulbs are out, our baby plum tree is covered in flowers (I thought it had died), and it reached 25°C/ mid 70s today. After the deluge of rain in Galicia it’s nice to be home…. Until temperatures reach 30°C+ in a couple of months. Then rain would be v welcome. 2 4

Cane23 Posted March 24 Posted March 24 Here’s something weirder (btw, nothing political, guys): I read “Trump” twice instead of “tramp”… It left me wondering how @Mikiesboy managed to look like Trump, and how you think a haircut could fix it. 😜 3 1

Mikiesboy Posted March 25 Author Posted March 25 Happy Wednesday! Need to walk the dog today.. wanted beans..so got two cans of navy beans, added onion, tomato sauce, a bit of tomato paste, soy sauce, onion powder and parsley...they taste good. Great plant protein for my lunches, where i do not eat meat or dairy. Also making chicken stock, and roasting a pork shoulder. Dinner will be some of the pork, mashed taters, buttery cabbage, roasted carrots and corn. Did a bit of writing this morning, hope to get some knitting done too. Have a good one, folks!! 5
Mikiesboy Posted March 25 Author Posted March 25 Oh, the beans and sourdough bread for lunch. With strawberries and pineapple. Happiness, lol 1 4

Popular Post kbois Posted March 26 Popular Post Posted March 26 In case you missed it, I had to go through the process of getting a new car, which I wasn't planning on. However, I think I came out ahead of the game. I decided to look at Carvana and had it narrowed down to two different makes. After researching further, I selected one and started the process last night. Honestly, I was skeptical about buying a car completely online and am happy to say that other than the State of Massachusetts requiring you to jump through extra hoops, everything went smoothly. On Sunday I will become the owner of a slightly used 2025 Chevy SUV. It has less than 30K miles on it versus the 140K the other car had and it's much newer. The best part is I was able to get a better interest rate and my payments are almost $100 less per month. Overall, it wasn't as nearly as stressful as going to a dealer and so far I'm happy I went this route. I'll let you know how the car is after it's delivered. Have a good one! 1 3 3

In this month: Found a new eye doctor, and managed to get a rebate on an entire year of contacts that essentially paid you to wear them. ✅ Had a fabulous reunion with your friends and teacher that you haven't seen in 30 years.✅ Wrecked your car 😞 but found a much newer model with less mileage and at a lower payment.✅ No doubt that the car will be great, so you can stop worrying about that. There's only one question that needs answering: Have you bought a lotto ticket yet? If not, get thy tail to the nearest retailer and buy some, because you're on a hot winning streak! 😁 1 3 3 1
Gary L Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Am I alone in hating the hour change this am in Europe? No. 93% of Spanish pop hate it; European Parliament is kind of against it but with 800+ members it’s hard for them to agree on the day of the week, and the science says there is no benefit. And our dogs are sure confused! 1 2
Kitt Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Wait till supper time. The pups will REALLY get confused when the food and the clock dont match. 3

She gets fed on schedule, then tries to con the one coming in late! 3

Ours have a 3-course luncheon after being on the beach - kibble plus a bit of ham or chicken, a baby carrot and then doggie yoghurt or a biscuit. A formal dinner is served on return from evening stroll - small portion of kibble with a squirt of salmon oil (Omega 3) and half a biscuit. No wine as they are teetotal. 3 1

No. 93% of Spanish pop hate it; I think this sentiment is held worldwide. It takes me a week to 2 weeks to adjust, and no matter what I do, it plays havoc with my medications. I seriously don't know why they just can't pick one and stick with it. Personally, I thrive more in the spring/summertime. I like the extra sunlight for longer times in the evening. I find it depressing when it gets dark at 4:30. Edited March 29 by spyke 2 1
Popular Post kbois Posted April 1 Popular Post Posted April 1 Hope everyone is hanging in there. Halfway through the week folks. My household has been battling colds and/or allergies all week. Haven't figured out who has what. I'm just medicating everyone. At least I don't have to work this Saturday and we get to leave at 3 on Friday, so that's a plus. The new car is working out nicely. Its a good fit. Have a good rest of your week everyone! 1 5
