Popular Post kbois Posted March 21 Popular Post Posted March 21 The day is finally here! After first hearing from my old high school friend in November and working around 7 people's schedules and having our mini-reunion dinner rescheduled twice because of that nasty 's' word, we've made it to D-Day (Dinner Day!) I'll be seeing two wonderful ladies I spent many many hours with over the course of four years. I'm also picking up our French professor who's class we had together for three of the four years. OMG...the shenanigans we got up to in that class haha! He's a fantastic guy and is the most favorite teacher I ever had. I'm so looking forward to seeing everyone **happy dance**! Have a fabulous day everyone! 8

Here, this has been washed and left to dry. It is so soft and not scratchy at all. I'm happy with it. I have enough yarn left to make something else, but it makes a great, soft fabric with excellent drape. I'm very happy. That's very beautiful tim 4
Popular Post Starrynight22 Posted March 22 Popular Post Posted March 22 Happy Saturday all! Hope things are going well. SW Ohio has been unseasonably warm....tomorrow it's going to be 83*F. And also tornados possible and storms I guess it's better than cold. Maybe. My Boston kiddo got to feel the TSA effects, as he didn't make it through security check (it took almost 3.5 hours in Atlanta!) and missed his flight to Boston. So starry had to shell out big dollars for a new plane ticket. 1 6 1

One of my patients told me his wife has been stuck in Atlanta for at least another week. 4
Popular Post kbois Posted March 22 Popular Post Posted March 22 So yesterday was a fantastic hit. I haven't seen these ladies and our teacher for over 30 years and we just fell right into the friend dynamic we had way back when. So many forgotten memories and laughter. I found out that one of my friends and our French teacher egged the nuns' convent lol. The spouses learned a lot about what we were like back then. The stuff we used to do with our French teacher outside of school would get him fired nowadays even though it wasn't anything bad unless you have an issue with underage drinking...not getting drunk but having a couple of beers when going out for pizza or some wine at a French themed group dinner at his apartment. He's a very well educated and well traveled guy with a heart of gold. Have a great day everyone! 8
Popular Post Kitt Posted March 22 Popular Post Posted March 22 Good lord! I thought barn drama was over the top. Add divorce drama and police get involved! Got a call to move 2 horses off a farm. Lady running the farm is divorcing the guy trainer. Manure hit the air circulation device yesterday and she bans him from the property, get them off by end of business Sunday. HE scrambles to get stall space somewhere they will let him teach, and calls me to move em. She tosses a fit and says the horse belonging to him cant leave the property because it is community property. He had the foresight to have PD escort come with us. Finally agree that the one horse can leave but the other was staying pending return calls.from both lawyers. We load 1 and go. I'm half way to the new barn and get a call come get #2 . Apparently her lawyer called back and said the horse was bought after the separation and therefore not community property. In the meantime other horse owners are gathering to watch the double drama. A couple even pulled out lawn chairs! What should have been 30 minutes from load to unload has taken most of the day. I asked for an extra $20 to cover the yoyo miles. The owner of the first horse decided I went above and beyond and added a $60 tip! 7
Popular Post Kitt Posted March 22 Popular Post Posted March 22 Oh, and a second patrol car was called in because each side kept running over to interrupt as the patrol man tried to talk to the other. 7

We had an annual membership there when our kids were little! Its a great aquarium. Check out the Inner Harbor while you're there, there's some nice shops and restaurants. I used to work right across the street from there. Have fun! 4 1

I did miss it in January and February when hell froze over and we hit negative numbers. On a happy note, I discovered that at some point I was smart enough to include gap insurance on our car so they are covering the outstanding balance on the loan, which is such a stress relief for me. Have a good day everyone! 5
