From gun control to cats. I'm gonna go look for some dinner. Have a nice evening, everyone.

Take care Mac.

Well, in my experience, the best way to socialise a cat is to annoy the shit out of it when it's little. :P I mean, don't let the kid be cruel to it, but cats need to be 'tamed' a little bit. They're not really domesticated in the same way dogs are, they're wilder and more independent, so they need to be taught young that humans are boss. They'll still become divas who think they're gods when they grow up, but they'll be a little nicer about it. :P

This... is true. We let my second kitten run wild through the house, and in the end he became a little sociopath. Apparently with the first family cat I was a baby and I would grab the cat all the time and she learned that humans are on top of the food chain. Of course I didn't know what I was doing as I was a baby, but it mellowed her out for the rest of the years that she was able to spend with us.

When I got my two fur babies, my flatmate at the time and I picked them up and played with them and carried them around and did not care that they didn't want to be picked up and played with and carried around. They grew up very nice. Lovelace, who sadly passed away a while back, you could do anything to, she didn't care. You could pick her up and pet her tummy and play with her paws and she just did not care. She was a brat, though, loved to experiment with gravity. So many broken glasses... Her sister Tesla's not quite so mellow about the touching (though she tolerates most things), and she's a bit shy around new people, which Lovelace wasn't, but she's generally snuggly and she's a sweet little kitty who doesn't get up to much mischief.

My sister in law stayed with us for several months bringing her cat. We had several interesting conversations when I would toss the cat back into her room threatening to make her mittens by winter after catching the creature on my kitchen counters.

Tesla has sadly got used to going on the kitchen table. It's the only place I can feed her where my flatmate's dog can't get at her food (little brat inhales her food, I swear, and will then happily inhale Tesla's as well). She's not too bad with counters, though. That was her sister's thing.

good day, i was able to accomplish a lot at work, but it went a bit pear shaped afterwards

i picked up Phil and the boys

then Phil and i took Number Two to the phone store for his Christmas gift, and came out to the car to find a dead battery

the auto parts store was right across the street, so Number One and Phil took the battery across the street to replace it

after they reinstalled it, we picked up Daughter and Number One bought everyone dinner

There's a big sale on Steam now, just fyi. Might wanna buy it if it's bugging out a lot. :P Assuming you like it enough.

It's on the list of stuff, that when I get the next disbursement, of what I'm planning on. Skyrim SE, some new ass covers, pay for my Prime account for the next year, and some other assorted kincker knacks.

Back, if you hadn't notice.

Family can be a P.I.T.A. at times.

A Pita doesn’t sound so bad. Then I “spelled” it out loud... Oh, right, now, I know what you’re saying,  Very clever, A. ;)

Yeah, P.I.T.A., S.N.A.F.U., and F.U.B.A.R. are all terms I've heard growing up. I can't take credit for it. 🙂
