It's not like I've written two stories musically based and my entire "About Me" is also musically based. How could you think it was m..." Oh. Never Mind. I'm still not admitting anything. 1 8

Popular Post BendtedWreath Posted July 25, 2024 Popular Post Posted July 25, 2024 (edited) The only thing I'm guessing is that it's not @chris191070 or @kbois. @chris191070 because I recently read his writing style (and has interesting work as well, like one of a pair of dogs and their owners) and @kbois because I am almost halfway through a story right now and it's a different writing style. Update: Out of curiosity, I browsed one of @Lee Wilson's music-related stories, and I am going to play Devil's Advocate here and say it's not (I say while I try to figure out how Collections work so that I can add Roadie in Love to my reading list). The style feels a bit different, but the biggest reason I vote against is because None of Lee's work seem to have magical elements. I suddenly want to petition for @Lee Wilson to write a story with some kind of magical element to it (IF it turns out he didn't really write Sparkling Water to get his feet wet). Update 2: @Mikiesboy was another guess I would have found difficult to disprove, but it was debunked by @Mikiesboy. I also found out how to turn my Story History on and I couldn't be more pleased. Now I can save stories as I speculate. 😈 Edited June 4, 2025 by BendtedWreath 4 1 1

I'll consider it. Again, if it isn't me that wrote this one. Since this is my first foray into guessing at one of these, is there a preferred place to put your guess? I suppose I should have asked that before putting my guess in the chapter itself. 4 1 1

The way I understood it, this area is to talk about the stories (don't see why we can't speculate here too), and then when the list is released, it's a matching game. Any moderators are free to correct me if I'm wrong here. 7 1

I suppose I should have asked that before putting my guess in the chapter itself. The story comments/review are more for your thoughts on the story itself. Guesses or conversation back and forth between readers (and authors are also readers here in GA so being an author doesn't mean they can't guess, lol) mostly happen here so it can be ongoing through the contest. Also, that way, when the contest is over and the Secret Author has to give up the stories to their rightful owners, the legit authors can go back and reply to comments about reader thoughts/questions on the characters, settings, events, or just overall kudos instead of just contest info. Though that is okay too! 3 5
Popular Post Lee Wilson Posted July 25, 2024 Popular Post Posted July 25, 2024 I’ll paste my pitiful guess here: I initially thought of @Mikiesboy's story N'than, N'than being a different species and all. But either the first comment above is a trick to throw us the trail, or it's really not him. Since I have no other idea, I'll go with Mikiesboy. 2 1 3

Is it you I wonder...Since one colour isn't enough...hair that changes colour might be just what you want. That's a thought. 1 1 6
Popular Post Gary L Posted July 26, 2024 Popular Post Posted July 26, 2024 Ok this one is easy: all we need to do is a statistical analysis using a pye chart to find an author into both music and magic in their writing. Any volunteers? This will work perfectly so long as there are no sneaky authors on this site. Ah, I see a small flaw in my brilliant plan - thank you v much @kbois indeed for your comment above. Very sneaky 😏 okay time for plan b) ……… 1 7

Popular Post Mancunian Posted July 26, 2024 Popular Post Posted July 26, 2024 (edited) The next story, Nox or Not has been posted. It's a delightful short story but I've no idea who has written it. Edited July 26, 2024 by Mancunian 1 6
