Good Morning and Happy World Octopus Day!  I'm sure that it's Wednesday. We are going to the store to buy a turkey. Sadly, we can no longer buy pre-stuffed Butterballs because of the ingredients. Sigh. However, we will buy an empty one and stuff it with the sage and onion dressing my mom always made. I can take care of that and likely will be healthier for it.

Have a pleasant day, whatever you are up to.  Very cool, breezy and sunny here. Nice autumn day.  :)

Should have included The Beatles song Octopus Garden with that post

That’s 13°C. 🥶 🥶 Boots and thick socks a must.

That would only happen with her if it were -13° F.   LOL

After last week's heat, we are now getting warnings of frost for the next couple of nights! We did receive some rain. but we are still in a moderate drought condition. It is hit or miss all around our area. some farmers need much more rain while others have flooded fields! It has been a very rough year for anyone who depends on the weather for a living!

Frost warning here, too. We’ll see what happens…

Are you there to treat your frozen toes? 🤔

No frozen toes. Just establishing a new primary care physician. I'm damn lucky I found someone. I called close to 20 offices and no one was accepting new patients. One office was scheduling a year out. I like this guy. He was more thorough than the last few. The only downside is now I have referrals to about 7 or 8 other services..... but hopefully it'll get all my ailments under control.

So, yeah, it is Friday. Enjoy it! It's also Thanksgiving Weekend for Canadians.

On a more serious note, it is World Mental Health Day.  As one who has struggled for years with PTSD, Major Depression, Suicide and more, it is both horrible and necessary to fight yourself daily. It's like there are two of you or more, and it's bad when one of the others wins. It can be bloody and just awful.

While there are plenty of songs about this topic, I chose this untitled song by Jimmie Allen for our musical portion of today's show. You can find it here. (Thanks to @weinerdog for the suggestion to add music)

That said, and done, be kind to others (i struggle with this often, usually to my own detriment but i try to be better than that) and look after yourself. If you need help, look for a hotline or call a friend or family member. Dying is not worth it, i know.

One day at a time, my dear.

xoxoxo ❤️

Thank you, honey. Michael has an awful cold. He got through yesterday but couldn't eat much this morning and has gone back to bed. Hopefully, that will help Him somewhat.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, tim.

My mom has a cold as well, so we’re laying low this holiday weekend. No turkey, but a nice BBQ chicken from the grocery store as that’s one of my mom’s favourite meals.

Wishing Mike a speedy recovery.

Yeah, eat what you enjoy. I sort of didn't want a turkey either but i was out voted. This one has been defrosting in the fridge and will be ready to cook tomorrow. We only got a twelve pound one so it won't take too long to cook. The pumpkin custard came out nice.

I hope your mom feels better soon.  xo

Why am I not surprised he’s not a “rest” type of guy?

Today is a napping kind of day, though the rain has held off, so I was able to get my walk in.

Complete opposite of me.  When I get sick, I just sleep until I feel well again.
