Falls Creek Lessons - Links - 1. Chapter 1
[Rob Skitter]
As I turned into the street where Greg lives with Diane’s parents, I resisted the temptation to keep driving on.
I’ve been seething ever since Di said that she had invited her kid brother along on this trip. I had it all planned out – Diane and I would get the room with the double bed, and Chris and Paul could have the other room to themselves. Now we’re going to have a fifth wheel tagging along, messing everything up. As well as that, I’m sure she’ll be expecting me to teach him to ski! I don’t mind teaching her to ski, as it results in all sorts of opportunities to play, but she’s moving past the beginner slopes now, and I had been looking forward to skiing some blue runs with her. Unless I can convince Greg to practice by himself, I’ll be stuck on boring green runs for the entire weekend.
Of course, I was too smart to let her know all of this. I just smiled and told her that would be fine.
Pulling up in front of where Greg was waiting, I took a deep breath and prepared for some more acting like I wanted him here.
