so Whats up?

Well its almost a week after my birthday. I'm 47 now.   There are things going on that got me very concern and nervous (extremely) ... like my first job interview last monday and then my visit to the University of Florida Hospital for my Bilateral NF of sciatic nerve on Tuesday.   First the long driving and the sitting certainly was getting progressively painful. But the real pain of the matter is the stress of being unemployed, the NF creating pain that affects what you think or do or feel

*Where everybody knows your name...*

Things I have wanted to say at my new job:   "I am not a bartender. I am not paid to hear your life's woes. Please stop."   "Why hello there! Can you turn around for me? Hmm, you know, tight jeans are in fashion right now, you should look into that. Oh, no reason."   "Yes, I lived next to a beach, but I didn't go to the university of spoiled children. That's USC. My school was the University of Casual Sex and Beer."   "It took me 45 minutes to drive to work today. Again. This will not do

Baby?

So I went into work, and my boss Jo was all Ugh I don't feel good, and gonig on about how bloated she felt. So me and my other boss shared a smile and I turned back towards Jo and said, "Is it a boy or girl?" She gained a little weight, and she knows it, so we were having a little fun with her.   So she gives me this Look and goes, "Michael..." like she's ready to smack me.   So I'm all "okay okay, but if it's a boy your naming him Michael right?" and then i ducked because she threw a pen at

on what f**king planet...

I went to buy some new pants for work, and normally I buy Dickies cause they're pretty heavy duty, sturdy, and I liked that when I was doing more than just standing there and looking cute while flirting with firemen as I sell them groceries and overlooking the old guy that won't stop calling me Toots. Anyway, I decided I might like something a little nicer and made for a girl, since I am one, and I have these hips and everything. So, since they closed Mervyns down a couple months back, I decide

Dark Earth 2 and more

I have decided to begin releasing chapters of Dark Earth 2. The biggest change is the POV as I have decided to go with 3rd instead of 1st. While it can be risky, I think it is important. There's a lot going on, and it seems more suitable for the flow. For any of you have been waiting, I apologize. It took me a while to get back into it, and now the story will be told. I have also been thinking about combining this one and the planned third episode in the Dark Earth series. This one will be longe

No one ever mentions Charlotte's Web

I noticed James posting the top 10 evil children book and people responding, but why hasn't anyone pointed to good children books.   I just remembered one with a moderately good movie to boot:   Charlotte's Web   It's my favorite, I admit, because I felt really bad for Wilbur *(Strangely enough, I am not a big pork eater, I prefer steak). I like the idea of the entire story and there was a romantic cross species relationship under-toned throughout the story between Wilbur and Charlotte. It

To my readers

It's been awhile, but I wanted to let you know that I will be editing my old stories an reposting them as I can. After reading them, I came across a lot of errors with spelling, grammer and plot holes (some large enough to make no sense at all).   In the mean time, you'll notice things on my eFiction account dissapere and come back. If you do, re-read them! Things have changed, for the better I promise   Currently Lost in Pain is gone from eFiction and will be replaced with the same story a

Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo   A lot has changed. I realize full well that I have borderline personality disorder, but there has been another drastic identity change.   My mother and I had a talk after my last nice big nervous breakdown involving drugs, alcohol, bad grades, failed relationships, and general ennui regarding life, and she told me that I try to har

Pink Mafia

So here is an interesting exchange that happened between one of my co-workers and I this afternoon. He was a little apprehensive, apparently he had made plans with another coworker--We'll Call him Coworker #2--to go to the gym and workout. It didnt work out too well and he ended up standing up COwroker #2, so he was scared that #2 was going to be all made and cause some friction in the work place.   Well coworker #1 had some issues with his phone and by the time he got them resolved there wer

A little about me and where i stand

After arguing with Both Tiger and Graeme on the pedophile thread, then Mark Arbor, dkstories, and Xeran on the Torture thread, I realize something about myself:   I am an ethical man, who doesn't believe in absolute laws or the attitudes of society.   What's ethics?   Main Entry:eth

Mental Block!

Well, chapter 2 is in the final stages of editing, but have had a mind freeze half way through the third chapter! Really frustrating, because I have all these thoughts and ideas, but for some reason, I just don't seem to be able to put them on paper as it were. It's driving me totally crazy! lol I mean, I have the outline, so I know what's going to happen, but the physical act of putting them into coherent sentences seems to be eluding me. Think I'll step back from it for a day, and then have

I know the pieces fit....

because I watched them fall apart.     Two of my closest friends are breaking up. They were two of the first people I met when I moved to Houston and they were a brand new couple at the time. We were so close because I was their friend. I didn't belong to either one. I had an individual relationship with both, and the three of us had a great dynamic. It was nice, it was...equal. I didn't realize it would make a break up harder. I mean if I was primarily one of them's friend, it would b

Columbine Through the Eyes of 13-Year Old Me.

I thought in honor of the anniversary of Columbine, I'd post this. I wrote it when I was 13.   ****   Tuesay, April 20, 1999   There has been another school shooting. Again! The 1998-1999 school year has gone by without a fatal shooting! Until now!   This time the high school was Columbine High School The unfortunate town with a lowered population this time is Littletown, Colorado. The fatality is as much as 25 people.   A school gang that had racist and anti-athlete views has at least

All or nothing...

I don't understand it. I guess it isn't something that can be understood, because in order to understand, an uncomfortable conversation would have to take place. Questions would have to be asked... questions that in all likelihood have no answers.   So, in turn, we accept silence. Silence is easier...   Well, silence sucks; the void created is only filled with self doubt.   I thought I was over this years ago. I thought the whole angsty part of my life was far removed from the routine of

Not sure if this can be called a poem

I was addressing a point made on my prior blog entry from Old bob and somehow I broke into a poetic verse. The nature of conflict:   To ignore conflict is a human reaction to seeing too much in their lifetime.   To accept conflict as a burden needed for the future of mankind is to have hope   Well that is divine   Peace will not occur in your time   Peace will not occur in my time   It comes to whether we are ready to fight for this concept, we call peace   Knowing it may fail
