Blimey, it's been a long since anyone posted in this thread.  This story has trended everywhere over the past couple of days and is an excellent example of how something goes viral (in a good way).

Roux, a rescue dog, alerted his owner that the neighbors house was on fire, saving the neighbors and pets inside. The neighbor was responsible for his friend adopting Roux.

Kudos to a fearlees six year old Bridger Walker. The young boy put himself between an attacking German Shepherd and his four year old sister to protect her from harm. He ended up needing 90 stitches on his face and head, but the brave little boy is fine.

My parents got back together again after they were separated for 15 years and both sides had third parties. It's truly a miracle.

In case anyone missed this one, 74 year old Richard Wilbanks jumped into a pond and pried an alligators jaws open to rescue his pet dog. He didn't even lose his cigar while doing it. Man, dog, and gator are all fine.

I saw that!  The pooch only suffered a couple punctures. Good thing is was a smallish gator.

I've been following this man's story for a couple of years as it appeared in the news over time. All I can say what a faithful brother to have persevered for so long.

Sadly, the case does not appear to be cut-and-dry as indicated in the article I posted. The defendant’s lawyers are saying that the guilty plea was the defendant’s attempt to escape his haranguing wife, thinking that he would get ten years away from her… and he was good with that.

That’s one hell of an escape attempt if it’s true but it doesn’t further the murder case, or offer surcease for the brother.

On Monday, I went to pick up my son, Max, from ballet, and he was standing outside the studio with another boy from his group. They were holding their hands together when I pulled up to the building, but Max let go and quickly said "Bye!" when I called out to him. When Max got into the car, this was the exchange that happened:

Me: "Did you have fun today?"

Max: "Yeah!"

Me: "Glad to hear it. Do you like your classmates?"

Max: "Uh-huh!"

Me: "Is there anyone you like more than others?"

Max: *pause* "I like Michael."

Me: "Is Michael nice?"

Max: "Yeah. We help each other with stretching and warm-ups and stuff."

Me: "Did Michael forget his gloves today, or something?"

Max: *giggles* "Yeah! He's really funny like that. He's always missing stuff, or forgetting things. He said his hands were cold."

Me: "So you offered to keep his hands warm, huh? That was nice of you."

Max: *blushes a bit* "Yeah, I guess. But it made my tummy feel weird, though."

Me: "You mean, like butterflies? Do you think you might like Michael as more than a friend?"

Me: "You know that's okay, right, honey? You can like boys or girls, or both. Whatever--or whoever--you choose, your Dad and I will always support you."

Max: *leans forward and hugs me from behind* (We were stopped at an intersection.)

Well, the defendant made a mistake on a phone call while in jail, which was recorded as they often are, and confessed his crime to his niece. Finally, an ending.

I remember reading about this. It made me both angry and sad. Im so glad his brother was able to get justice for Scott.

First - Welcome to GA and to your first post.

Second - That depends? I don't know where you live, soooo.  If you live in a rain forest, does it really matter? If you live anywhere near me (Montreal), I doubt it. We had a snow storm on Monday with 15+cm. Yesterday it was 7 above freezing and had to avoid all the puddles, while walking to the store in my running shoes. Forecast is some snow tonight. Some snow Friday evening and flurries all day Saturday. Spring? Bah, Humbug!
