I’m drooling at the thought of eating it! My husband's boyfriend made it, so I'll ask him. The texture on it was GREAT. It was the best meatloaf I've had in a while. 5 1

Popular Post Starrynight22 Posted May 4, 2025 Popular Post Posted May 4, 2025 (edited) Hello DIC Southern Ohio remains a soggy soggy place right now. I've read the month or so of updates from all, good to see posts from folk I hadn't seen in a long while. Hope things go well and stay that way for everyone. Did anyone watch the Kentucky Derby today? My usual theme of picking the horse whose name vibes with me was again a great one. Came in third. Too bad I didn't bet any money though. Dang it. And the horse only joined in the runnings for Derby 2 days ago and who doesn't love an underdog like that? Cincinnati is close to Louisville KY where the races are, so it's probably a bigger deal here than most places 7
Mikiesboy Posted May 4, 2025 Author Posted May 4, 2025 oh cool.. i knew it was running this weekend but i didn't watch it.. 3rd aint too bad. 4

Lucky me. I was flicking thru channels, and caught the important part, the actual 10 minutes of the very soggy race coverage. I went to the Derby, once around 50 years ago, and we watched from the infield. What a drunken crowd that was! 4 1
Popular Post Flip-Flop Posted May 4, 2025 Popular Post Posted May 4, 2025 Today is May 4th, marking 55 years since the day of the Kent State shootings in Ohio. We lived along a state route highway leading to the University, and my brother also attended KSU at the time. I remember the convoys of National Guard troops and trucks carrying tanks and other military equipment drive past our house on their way to the university. We are still haunted by what had taken place in our area, and around our country, during that scary time. Turmoil in our country, is not a new feeling for those of us, who are old enough to remember that time in our country's history. 😢 7

So first attempt was rejected for not having an “apostille” attached to my uk documents. Then with second attempt they rejected sworn notary declaration for not quoting a 2004 law. Finally all done. Means I’m safe from eviction by partners’ horrible relatives and we both get widower pension rights in uk and Spain. Not much but some security. Edited May 5, 2025 by Gary L 4 4
