An interesting day…. 09.00 trapped in lift with the weinerdogs. Managed to escape after 10 min as one dog started to cry.  Technician came out and put out of order sign up (holiday here in Valencia). As we carried dogs up flights of stairs we found out that power was off in most of Spain. Nine hours later it’s on but patchy internet.  Hundreds were trapped in lifts, train tunnels etc etc.   uff.

That's not fun. I'm glad you're doing okay.  Hopefully, it will be repaired soon.

Turkey meatloaf, little potatoes split and coated in olive oil, ranch seasoning, and lemon zest, and glazed carrots all are in the oven. We'll eat a bit late, but it'll be worth it. This house smells fantastic.

Don't you hate it when you ask for Lucky Charms and they send you Froot Loops and Fruity Pebbles instead?

Today we had a gentleman come into the office to ask about using the clubhouse for a Q&A session he wanted to have. 

Why, you ask? Well, let me tell you. 

Apparently he works for Space Force. Y'all know they control the military all over the world. He has Top Secret information and all he could tell us was that the $#!+ was going to hit the fan this weekend and we better prepare. Take all our money out of the bank and have cash on hand. Stock enough non-perishable food for at least two weeks. Internet will crash, electric grids will be offline. (But he's got a special government connection so he'll have internet.)

The world as we know it will be gone forever and chaos will ensue. 

Meanwhile, he wants to extend his reservation another month. He's already been here 6 months which us our maximum stay unless you have an annual lease. As a courtesy I let him extend. 

Space Force will be paying for his stay but if we needed payment he could pay in silver. We can keep it in our safe. I fully expect Donald will be calling us with his black Amex any moment now as he's the head honcho of Space Force. Did I mention they controlled all of the world's military? I think we'll just whack his credit card that's on file. Space Force can reimburse him in bitcoin. 

He's telling the truth and we better prepare like there's a Cat 5 hurricane bearing down on us. 

He wants to make sure all the people in need have the resources available to them so they can weather the mayhem that's about to unfold. 

So hurry to the bank and grocery store, stock up on canned soup and Doritos. Get your toilet paper and bread before its all gone. Grab that 50lbs bag of dog food for your chihuahua. Call your loved ones now and warn them. 

What are you waiting for? Shoo!

Lost practically everything in the back-to-back hurricanes; house, car, 99% of my belongings. Laid-off from one job at the same time as the hurricanes. Lived in a Salvation Army shelter for a few days, while working with City of Tampa's rapid rehousing program. New job as a staff accountant with local non-profit that helps those who are homeless or facing homelessness. Engaged to the love of my life, going on four years now.

Life is better, and getting better. It's my wish that it gets better for y'all too.

I'm so sorry you were hit hard by the hurricanes. It was a rough few weeks and the aftermath is still being dealt with in a lot of areas.  

I'm glad you're doing ok. 

Let's hope we get spared this year. I certainly don't want to go through that again. Shuffling from place to place is not fun at all.
