For the record, NJ has vehicle inspections annually. The laws state that passanger trucks over 5801 lbs and older than '07 modle years are exempt and it is expected we.self inspect and maintain a safe vehicle.

 

My truck is '06 and 5810. Went to inspection the first year i owned it as I was under the impression the wt rating welas 8800 and was told i was misinformed, i am self inspect .

Today I get pulled over in a mobile inspection lot, where i am bitched at that there is no record of my truck being inspected since i bought it, and i got red ticketed, giving me 30 days to rip out the exhaust system and reinstall a catalytic converter that someone before me replaced before my time. Without it my check engine light is always on and the computer will flunk it every time. It's the only thing i flunked for.

I was also told if repairs and reinspection does not occur within the 30 days registration will be revoked, and i will be fined for having skipped inspection for the last 6 years.

 

Rant over. We now return you to the regularly scheduled frivolity.

Hmm, animals cannot be trusted to not lick, bite, or scratch places they shouldn't. Hopefully, @chris191070can be!! LOL.

We've looked after our own dog who had to be coned several times in his life, and our part-time dog recently needed a cone when he split his ear open while rolling on something sharp. I always feel sorry for them in those things.

i seem to have a reputation for banning people. No idea where that comes from since i've never done it. And this place is all about terrible puns. @mollyhousemouse used to share some awful ones... lol.  Hopefully, she will feel like doing so sometime in the future.

Waiting to see if my flight will be cancelled tomorrow. As I leave for airport at 04.00 not sure I will get any sleep.  General strike called for Valencian Community in protest at handling of the October floods by regional gov.  Since said gov has an absolute majority the strike will have zero influence, just tens of thousands of travelers stuffed.

Now in Frankfurt, Germany for a few hours R&R.  Greta was ill through the night so abandoned sleep at 03.15.  Now awaiting boarding.  God, 12 hours to get from Valencia to Birmingham (uk).

Enjoy your potato ... i can eat a little if they are boiled for a few minutes, rinsed and then boiled until they are done.  There's a lot of potassium in potatoes. Sadly, i love them and especially baked. So, like most things, if you're on a special diet of some sort ... moderation is the key.  So, i eat nearly everything but in small amounts.

1/2 Irish so enjoying potatoes isn't a chore. 

Moderation on the other hand... well let's just say I'm not going to say.

oh? Is it your mum or your dad who's Irish?   

i never cared how many i ate, but now i'd rather keep my kidneys healthy.  i'm glad i get to enjoy some.

We ate potatoes often until my Husband was diagnosed with Diabetes. It's been downhill from there. lol  So moderation is our family's fav word.

Trying this recipe today. Metro had pretty nice blueberries for $2.99 a pint. I needed two.. less about 10 which i volunteered to eat. My decision was accepted as there was only myself, me and that annoying I in the kitchen.  LOL     

 

*******  Haven't eaten them yet, however my lovely fresh blueberries did not turn all nice and jammy as shown in the picture. No bubbling goodness.. So i stabbed them with a fork and put them back in for a bit. Next time i will mash them a little before when using fresh ones. Frozen would likely give you the result shown above.

I actually grocery shopped today and gave the blueberries a look from afar as I decided on bananas and apples instead. 

I will be trying this recipe, though as it looks really good. And, might I add, they look suspiciously like his Strawberry Oatmeal Crumble ( can’t remember their exact name atm) bars. Which reminds me, I keep forgetting to buy chia seeds. 

My nephew introduced me to chia pudding, which I found very much to my liking, so I ran out of them. Oh wells…

PS: Have you tried Ontario hothouse strawberries? Every time I’ve bought them - even over the winter months - they’ve always been exceptionally tasty.
