1) I also got a nice compliment. I had a resident tell me "I  just want you to know you've been doing a wonderful job so far. In case no one has said so, we really appreciate you."

2) I've hit a small plateau in my weight loss journey (no change in 4 days) BUT... I realize that it's perfectly normal and I'm OK with it. I've lost 15lbs since March 1st. That's what I'm focusing on.

Good lord! Lady hires me to take a horse out to her new home 3 hours away. Destination barn would like him there by noon so they can get him settled. Ok, reverse engineer the math, load and on the road by 9 right?  Lady doesn't show up till 9:15. Then horse wants nothing to do with the trailer. Finally hit the road @ 10:45, text the destination barn to advise of the hold up and new eta. They are pissed the hand who usually leaves @ 2 has to stay ot and wants ME to pay for it.

 

Nope, I am just the transport. You want money for the OT, talk to the owner. I am not even there yet and they are fussing. :facepalm:

My poetry skills are mediocre at best. But to celebrate the end of snowbird season I tried my hand at a limerick:

There are lots of birds called Snow

South to Florida they flow

With dollars to spend

And Sun with no end 

Season is over, NOW GO!!

So much better thank you for asking Molly.  We were released at noon and got home at 1pm 

He just hard a hard time with the anesthesia and needed extra o2 and observation for a while.  At least now we know his reaction should he ever need surgery again.  I'm lucky to live by a world class children's hospital.

By the way, I love the very English word "gutted". Now that I know it, I keep struggling to find substitutions for it because it's the BEST WORD for certain things.

"Missing that goal really gutted John."

You know instantly what it means. It has so much more impact than "disappointed" and its ilk.

I'm gonna start using it. I don't care. Stealing it.

Hello rick.  Thank you, things aren't so bad.  I hope life is treating you as well as can be expected.

I bought a breadmaker for myself for Mother's Day and tried my hand at a loaf of wheat bread. It came out pretty decent. Really tasty but a bit on the denser side. I think it was because I used Almond milk. The only thing I did wrong was grab the wire handle without a pot holder while it was still in the warm mode. Oops. 

Tomorrow is the start of another six day work week. My bank account loves it, but I don't. Can't wait for vacation at the end of the month!
