Why did you not write anything today, tim? 

A) Well, we went to the store and grabbed cheap pork tenderloins and cheap apples. The apples were 99 cents a pound. They are usually $2.99. We ended up with nearly 9 lbs of apples.  Which we then cored, peeled and sliced. We cooked them for a couple of minutes in some water with splenda brown sugar and cinnamon. Now they are cooling, and we'll package them and freeze them for winter apple crisps.

Thanks everyone. We're shorthanded now at work, down 2 staff accountants; and instead of our supervisor catching the slack left by a person who is out sick for the past week, her work got dumped on me and the Senior Accounting Specialist. All on top of my normal workload, and all this extra work is past due to the funders. 

Work Bestie screwed me. 🤬 Her calling out is a "eat up my PTO" before I quit stunt. I've been working today since 5:30am and it's now 9:30pm as I write this. I still have like 3 hours at least of stuff to work on.

Reevaluating life choices, and I just bought a car damn it.

A 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6, with just over 15K miles on it. It's an electric vehicle, but with how much I drive with working from home, it was the best option. Went to the same dealership that I bought my last two from, and they hooked me up on in.

I'm hoping it gets better. I just spent nearly 3 hours of my day on the phone with Florida unemployment again trying to figure out what the hold up is. So far they now owe me 7 weeks of payments. 

oh well.. they're actively working on it. I'm not holding my breath. 

On a better note, anthology story is done. Changes have been made and its in the hands of the final editor. It'll get sent once the final tweaks are made

Oh! And I finally heard back from the new job. They offered some more money and as long as the background check clears I have a start date of Sept 22 (don't worry @spyke, the bodies will never be found lol).
