Since August 1 we only had less than three tenth of an inch of rain, spread over 46 days! It has been extremely dry, and not really any foretasted for our next week.or longer. ☹️ 3

Does this remind anyone else ( @kbois ) of a certain somebody? https://www.instagram.com/reel/DNtnKBrWO_Q/?igsh=NzA0aXRpanBrMTFy OMFG.. This made my night. We've spent ALL DAY working on swapping bedrooms with my son. There's been a delay in moving my son over to my Sister-in-law's. Their wild child black kitty was supposed to get fixed at the end of this month but he had to go and get an abcess in his paw and they couldn't get another appointment until October 25ish. We want him calmed down before introducing him to our kitty. Our son was sleeping on a twin size pull out sofa bed and it was not meant for someone built like a 6'2" NFL linebacker. We asked and reminded my MIL several times that we were switching rooms and what does she say to me? "I wish you asked before you rearranged the whole house." Shoot me. Just freaking shoot me. Three trips to Home Depot for the right hardware for the beds and some if the screws were stripped and we're still not done . . Off to finish. 2 2 1

We haven't had a whole lotta rain either. And now they are saying there won't be much snow...that's not really a good thing. From August 1 we had 66.7mm or 2.62 inches. It's not a lot, more than you but still not a lot. 3

I have it and once went to the wrong address because I got the numbers mixed up in my head. Sounds frustrating. I understand that it is probably ten times worse for her, but it sure turned our paperwork into a mess. Fortunately it was at the schooling show I work, and not the USEF level show. Mess up sanctioned paperwork and all sorts of people get pissed off. 2 5

Popular Post Mikiesboy Posted September 19, 2025 Author Popular Post Posted September 19, 2025 Ahoy there matey ... it's talk like a pirate day... or as Michael says, it's talk like Robert Newton day as he is credited with that pirate accent when he played Long John Silver in Treasure Island in 1950. Here is the man himself, in character. Arrrr, if ye not want to be parleying like a pirate, then remember dead men tell no tales as you'll be finding out for yerself as ye walk the plank. Whatever you get up to on this lovely, cool Friday, enjoy it! 5 3

kbois Posted September 19, 2025 Posted September 19, 2025 Ok.. I need to know if I'm justified in screaming inside my head every time I have to put the microwave cover back inside the microwave... where it belongs when not in use... not on top of the stove or on the counter where there no room! Let me know if you store your microwave cover inside the microwave when you're not using it or if you have a designated other spot for it. The kitchen at my MIL's house is small. I've spent a ungodly amount of hours cleaning and reorganizing it and it may seem insignificant but its one of those pet peeves that is driving me crazy. 3 2

If you're talking about the plastic thing-a-ma-bob that you place over a plate when reheating to prevent spattering, then yes it should go back inside if there is no other room for it. Luckily, I have a typical 1980's house where they had a honker built in microwave atop of the wall oven, but it was removed long before I bought the house. I have a freestanding microwave and there's plenty of room on top for the microwave cover. Alternatively, you could just hide it from everyone and use it only for yourself. 3 1

We have a microwave that's mounted above the stove so keeping it stored inside the microwave makes sense (at least to me) 2 hours ago, Kitt said: You mean anyone other than you puts things WHERE THEY ACTUALLY BELONG?!?!? Suddenly things that have lived in a cabinet for 35 yrs are wandering, and they both seem to think I know where they shoved it last! I have quickly discovered that my MIL is a slob in the kitchen. She has an orange every morning and stands at the sink to eat it. Do you think the peel ever makes it to the trash can? I'm going out today to run some errands and tonight we're going to a friend's for pizza. Spoiler I'm escaping. The sister-in-law who lives in Indiana is visiting and she has not one single iota of common sense. Life tries to get too complicated when she's around. Good grief. It should be a good day. Enjoy it everyone! 2 2
Popular Post Mikiesboy Posted September 20, 2025 Author Popular Post Posted September 20, 2025 (edited) Had no idea those even existed. I usually cover plates with waxed paper and bowls with another plate... i don't use plastic in the microwave. I have some corningware things that have glass lids that i use too. very interesting. i think, if i had such a thing, that i would leave in the microwave, cuz what else is it used for? It will just take up space on the counter. Edited September 20, 2025 by Mikiesboy 1 5
