Awesome! To celebrate, I think I'll go play a few chapters of my favorite otome game.

It's called Our Life: Beginnings and Always. 

Currently, there's a sequel planned for 2026. Whereas the first game has a "Summer" theme, the new game will have a focus on Autumn settings.

Happy Saturday. Have a few things to do. Finish editing a chapter for someone. Making a cheese and brocolli quiche and an peach and plum crisp. Then make lunch and dinner. 

Maybe if i'm lucky write down some stuff on my own story. 

I'll reread my antho soon and then send it in.  

I'm retired, why do i not have time to do things?  LOL

Reminder:  Do not complain about not having spare time to your Husband.  He said, What do you need to get done?  I said, quiche (precooking brocolli and grating cheese, beating eggs), Peach and plum crisp (Frozen peaches but plum needed washed, de-stoning and chopping) topping needed to be made., then put some odd pork from the freezer into the air fryer for snack for a certain someone.  

He said, Get into the kitchen and get it done. You'll be finished by lunch time, then you can make lunch and I'll clean up after lunch. 

Sigh...it's now all done and we're eating lunch. Suddenly, i have  4 hours free.

Well, this boy got stuff done!  Quiche ✔️ , Story chapter edited  ✔️  , Plum/Peach crisp made ✔️, Pork cooked ✔️, Anthology submitted and proofreader assigned ✔️ also made some salad dressing.  I didn't get to do any writing but maybe tomorrow.

Here are the afghan squares i managed to finish yesterday...

These are not washed and blocked yet. You don't really have to do that, but it evens them out and it will be easier to crochet them together when i have enough of them. 

So, have a lovely Sunday everyone! I'll be in and out during the day i'm sure!

We're off to the store to get groceries. We've been invited to a cookout this afternoon and a chocolate peanut butter trifle has been requested.

I made a chocolate peanut butter trifle so I had to make a chocolate cake. I also made whipped cream and blended it with whipped cream cheese, peanut butter, chocolate liquor, peanut butter whiskey (about 2 shots of each). Then crushed oreos and nutter butters. Oh... and chocolate pudding. The layers went like this;

Cake

Whipped mixture

Cookies

Pudding 

Cake

I messed up the order I usually put them in but it really doesn't matter. I'm pretty sure they're not going to notice.

What makes a severely dyslexic person decide to become a horse show judge?  For those who do not know, competitors are only known to a judge by their back numbers, no names, no horse names. Enter todays judge who wrote down numbers all screwy. Took us hours to sort out the results.

Yes to the cake, pudding and whipped cream... i wouldn't like the whipped mixture thing with chocolate... peanut butter cups i'd like rather than oreos. Not a fan of those. Of course, the only thing i could eat would be whipped cream .. cant have much chocolate or booze anymore.  I'm sure people loved your trifle though! 

i made an eggnog trifle one year for the boys, who wouldn't eat jello and fruit in a traditional English trifle. It was whipped cream, vanilla pudding made with eggnog and vanilla cake... it was yummy.

The trifle went over quite well. The liquor just adds flavor, so unless youre willing to consume about 2lbs of trifle, the booze doesn't affect you (unlike the 3 craft beers I consumed). 

@weinerdog,  I don't do whiskey very often anymore as a) I'm not stress drinking like I was a few years ago, and b) it doesnt always agree with me. Its not worth having a stomachache. I'll still have it occasionally but its more like once every couple of months rather than every weekend. 

@spyke, a once in a blue moon sugar coma is acceptable.  Its one of those things I only make for potlucks or a family gathering. 

@Mikiesboy, I think I need to make an eggnog trifle this Christmas.  What a great idea!

Sounds like dyscalculia possibly.  I have it and once went to the wrong address because I got the numbers mixed up in my head.  Sounds frustrating.
