Well guys I made it.  Back in Uk. Lufthansa got its act together and we arrived in Frankfurt ahead of schedule giving me time to do a little retail therapy. Slight delay leaving and strong winds against us but 30 min late is ok.   No queue at German control for leaving the EU zone but boy they don’t give you a friendly smile.  Perhaps because they are out of World Cup and England (luckily) are scrapping through.  
And no rain forecast whilst I’m here.

As for me,  a 22 hour power outage (rumoured to have been caused by a tornado somewhere in Ontario) finally ended at 6:30 this evening. 

Devices now in recharge mode, so I’ll check in again later tonight.

Woohoo!!!  A positive result to all this heat and humidity. Three days of showing has all canceled out. One the show itself canceled,  and the rest were smart enough to know it is not good for rider or horse and opted to stay home. Not terrific for my bottom line, but a couple days off will be greatly appreciated.

Happy Friday... i wet my running cap (that's about as close as i get to actual running) and went for a few groceries.. boy howdy, it's steamy out there, i took a cab home. Best $8 i ever spent. 

Michael is on his way home cuz soccer is on and i am trying to cool down the house somewhat. Geez louise. I hope it cools off somewhat over the weekend.  Maybe we can pop over to my MiL's for a quick swim between soccer games. 

Anyway, enjoy whatever you're getting up to, or not up to.

I dont care if hubby has to steal a control panel for the hvac in my truck from one in the mall parking lot. I WANT MY A/C FIXED!

Was 85 when I left the house this am, and better is not a word that applies to these temps!

Poor you!  Here in Uk for long weekend and weather is a perfect 22-26°. Next week back in Valencia up to 37°c. Arghh

Spotted some bats in the backyard tonight, and I'm so excited! 

They've been regular visitors over the years, and because they hadn't appeared yet, I was starting to worry. Glad to see my fears were unfounded.

I'm 100% pro-nature, but I can't imagine being happy about having bats in my backyard!!! 🦇😱

Then again, they're still better than the alligators in @kbois's Florida. 😂

They're very efficient at controlling pesky bug populations, which helps if you're a gardener. In some desert or tropical regions, they may also disperse pollen from your flowering crops.

I believe it is Monday.  Not the best weekend cuz of a headache, but not the worst either. Gonna try to get some baking in while it's cool.  Hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend or normal weekend depending where you are...

I traded the alligators for bears. I'm not missing Florida's heat and humidity right now. In MA we had four days of Satan's realm, unlike four months of it in the south.

We have a bunny who likes to hang out in the front yard. My son's cat stares at through the window. I can see the murderous look in her eyes. Lol.

 

I don't mind bats. They eat mosquitos and those nasty things think I'm the local buffet.

The bat is the symbol of Valencia, football club included.   They live in the orange groves and we used to see them every dusk surrounding the street lights opposite, feasting on mosquitoes.. for years I was never bitten but market gardeners have been cutting down their orange trees to plant other more profitable crops. Fewer bats around = more mosquito bites for Gary.
