    Chapter 1

And so the delights begin @Mark Ponyboy Peters. I have read this story many years ago (possibly about the time Silverchair and Savage Garden were enormously popular in Australia) and remembered Matt and Luke and what the night held for each, but it was not until Luke's invitation to"Meet me under the pine trees" that the story from there on felt like a favourite pair of jeans (or in my case a favourite cat) wrapping me in a comfortable warm embrace. For me a good story entertains, but a great story does this and more, invariably invoking musical, cinematic or other literary references. When Matt uttered to Luke "the action is on its way" I heard Julie Brown's "prom massacre masterpiece" The Homecoming Queen's Got A Gun suddenly swirling in my head. I of course knew this was not going to happen, but just for a glee-filled moment I imagined Julie's (Matt's soon-to-be ex-girlfriend) head just did the splits. Alas it was not to be, the nasty snooty bitch (great and apt description on Luke's part) lived to create havoc, behaving like the entitled, spoilt, egomaniac that she is. Now to Luke and Matt's night of passion after the formal was over, and what better accompaniment than the seductive and sensual vocals of Marvin Gaye on After The Dance followed by Let's Get It On. What better way to reach the little death, the climax of such a momentous occasion. The first chapter was everything I remembered it to be @Mark Ponyboy Peters, a beautiful journey from best friends to lovers in the course of one evening, maybe accompanied by a little of Kiki Dee's haunting Amoureuse too. I look forward to witnessing again the journey Matt and Luke are about to undertake.
  4. Quigley has reminded me of something I've seen folks do when hit or struck by a disaster, almost to a person and while they may have lost everything, they still considered themselves lucky as the family survived...
  5. Do I get the sense that things just may be taking a step or two forward???
  6. I thought you’d appreciate me referencing idiotic tropes written by straight women that you know I hate, but whatever.

    Twenty-One

The more Keith is accepting of himself, the more he sees his life getting better!!! By this time, thoughts of sex had rather evaporated, and it was nice to go to sleep cuddled together. Almost all Keith’s final thought was to wonder what it would be like to do this every night.
  8. Killing him for making a horse a consul, can't a guy be whimsical?

    Chapter 9

I knew this would happen, Mitch may have fooled Pete but I had my suspicions. But it's his loss and my guess is he will lose out big time, Pete is better off without him. Could Bobby have a thing for Pete? Only time will tell, but I think Pete may be too busy with his sports interests and learning more about becoming a chef to be bothered with developing a love life, if I'm wrong I hope he meets a nice boy, unless Bobby is that boy.
  11. And we both know how that works out in multiple older BLs we’ve seen…
  12. And he only lasted 4 year's before they killed him!
  13. There's obviously more going on here than we can see and these two targets wouldn't ne out in plain sight unless they were well protected.
  14. He had a daughter when he died, so he was a top with his wife!
  15. Wasn’t one of Caligula’s “crimes” “homosexuality”? That is, sex between males was commonplace in Rome, but you could only be the “receiver” up to a certain age and then it was taboo. So Caligula was a power bottom… 👀
  16. I wanna join. But given how my mind works, I'll for sure exceed the 30k mark and it'll turn into a full blown novel. 😂 I have issues. Don't ask. I still have two months to think about this though. There is still plenty of time, me thinks.
  17. The Leafs lost again?! Oh, and good morning, Gary.

And it will stay at hints, till Finley is to learn the "truth" Noah and Finley show different ways of coping with their trauma, which are also very different. Finley's "wounds" are scabbed over, while Noah is still wearing a band aid. Maybe he takes it off soon, maybe not. Plus, those two have different personalities and goals. Noah was a SEAL with all his heart, Finley was forced into service by his parents and family expectations. We will hear more about Finley's family and dragons next chapter and yes, it's complicated. Thank you!
