Occasional Poetry - 56. November Cinquains
em>Thanks to Northie for commenting on these diplomatically, without causing an international incident. I retain all responsibility for the errors.
November Cinquains
1.
I am
drab November,
all my warmth draining out,
my light gone dim, grey and mostly
cloudy;
I wait
expecting promised rain to turn
into blinding blizzard,
quieting all
my bones.
2.
A vast
silver moon hangs
heavily from my belt
obscuring my face and body
from eyes
which scan
the cold, gaunt-fingered horizon
for cosmic auspices
of approaching
winter
