I cannot remain silent. My heart hurts and my eyes ache.
National News
Evil,
masquerading
as righteous religion,
released a blind and senseless rage.
Weep, now.
Recall
and mourn our friends and those we loved;
ease uncomprehending pain,
and stand against
evil.
Perspective
Private
grief in time of
public horror paints one
dark dot on a canvas black with
trouble.
And yet
one's own secret sorrow causes
equal overwhelming
pain, coloring
all things.
