Denver Pride - Or what I learned at my Big Gay Sleepover

This past weekend I had the singular privilege of being able to attend Denver Pride weekend. This was to be my first Pride Parade outside of Vancouver, and indeed my first Pride events outside of Canada at all. Naturally, this means it didn't happen because I got super sick and had to leave before the parade. Before I departed early and fled back to a climate that could support my biology, I was able to re-learn a number of things that we should never take for granted as LGBTQ people and allies.

Royally screwed by medical offices

This has been an absolute mess. I have to get my knee fixed, it keeps shifting. So you don't have to look that up, it moves in directions it's not supposed to, in my case both too far forward and too far towards the outside of the knee. You have to have a pre-surgery clearance no more than 30 days before the surgery - so they know the anesthesia won't kill you.   So I start the process May 5th, with the blood work and ekg, chest X-ray the 9th - first available appointment. Writing has been difficult for the past year and a half. It's not from a shortage of ideas. I'm drowning in ideas right now, and I think if I could sell ideas I'd never have to work again. A Writing Slump

Yep. I'm so frustrated at this point. I have so many writing projects on my computer at the moment, but I can't seem to make any progress on anything. I don't know if it's simply because the depression has reared its ugly head, if it's stress, or what is causing my issues.
