Happy New Year

It wasn't the best of years, it wasn't the worst of years. But it was the definitely a shorter year. Okay, fine. It was only 24 hours shorter than the previous one, but it sure felt like it went by in the blink of an eye. I think it's age related.   Two years ago tomorrow, on January 1, 2015, I posted the first chapter of CJ's story. Two years, 119 chapters, and over half-a-million words later, the damn kid's wormed his way into my heart. And apparently, he's had a  similar effect on s

Melancholy ... the broken staff of life

Wonky

You have to understand being Bipolar is basically an extreme state of mind. A month or so ago I was taking 1,500 mg of Depakote as a mood stabilizer, plus 400 mg of Seroquel, also reported to be a mood stabilizer. My shrink decided that, maybe, I could reduce my intake of Depakote until I was taking Zero mg’s and relying on the 400 mg of Seroquel to stabilize my mind. Unfortunately, when I hit Zero my mind went wonky and I was hallucinating to the extreme.   So, I backed off and got he

Emi's Summer Tulips is now a Paperback

Hello guys   I don't know how many of you guys enjoy paperbacks, but our friend @Caz Pedroso had encouraged me by telling that she would have enjoyed a paperback more rather looking into a cellphone or an Ipad. And I always plan to bring the paperback version of my April Tulips book, if there may be someone interested like Caz. And this time I tried my best bring the NaPoWriMo 2017's book earlier than I planned because of the competition and now paperback for Caz. I'll be more thankful

We Feign Nothing - A look at the BDSM lifestyle.

First of all this is no attack on how you or anyone else chooses to live, that is up to each of us to decide. This blog is simply an answer to a few things I read in an article the other day. It called itself an introduction to the BDSM lifestyle. I found much of it offensive, rather like most looks at our lifestyle are. What did I read? ·         That submissives feign their subservience. ·         That Dominant tops only act dominant, because we need to be nurturing and loving

What's New with Renee!

Hiya all!!!!   I hope everyone is doing well and had a wonderful Christmas!  This blog is going to be somewhat of a review of this past year and a look forward to what I'm hoping to accomplish in 2018!   In April, I published my story "Barbed Wire Cowboy" (the pre-revision copy can be found in Premium under the name Studly Ranch Hands). It did okay, but not as well as I had hoped. Got some good reviews, and some bad, but over all I think it was well received.   In O

Another life change emerges

WOW, it's been a while and a hell of an adventure. And here comes the BUT..... I find myself trapped again, from a desolate, miserable time on the farm, to living the high life as a lifestyle Dom, with all the trappings that go along with that. Large house, 35 staff to run it, 2 contracted subs, and a partridge in a pear tree you might say. The BUT is the responsibility of looking after said house, staff etc.  The day this change came about was the same day, me and Stuby spli

Improve & Encourage #8: Puppy Love

I hope you all enjoyed the last Improve & Encourage feature, because it's time for another one. These features are meant to both provide feedback to authors and, similar to story reviews, point out stories that readers might not otherwise have found. It's similar to a review, in that the person doing the critique tells you what they liked about the story, but it differs in that they also provide constructive criticism. Each author signed up to participate, and sign up's are still open!  Thes

Or, if you haven't read the story before or checked it out yet, enjoy this excerpt below!    Cia said:  Vlista's stories can be quite graphic and dark, but Tyler is more about the life after the worst a teen has faced than the negative experiences that shaped him. Tech Tuesday - Chapter Text Controls

One of the most important aspects to our Stories software is allowing members to make the reading window fit their need for reading.  Whether that is to adjust the text size, the contrast, the indents or the width of the text window.  Here are the controls:   Text size should be obvious here.  The green highlight, as shown here, means that the current text is larger than the default text.  If you have no highlight, then you have default text size.  If you have A- highlighted, then

How PrEP Changed Gay Sex, Anecdotally

So the topic of sex is absolutely fascinating to me, especially gay party/hookup culture in big cities. Anybody who has read my previous blogs can see that. I've been both a passive studier and active participant over the years, and I've gotten a pretty unique view of it all. A good friend of mine once said, "to understand gay men, you need to understand the messy emotions and politics of sex." Now I realize that my experience (and his) as gay men is very much ones that have taken place inside a
