    Summer Resolutions, Anyone?

Just what is NORMAL?

After a few rocky weeks, our lives are returning to normal.  Well, normal for us. Two working adults, with one car, mornings starting at 4:45 AM.  Two kids in high school, one with a job, the other with after school commitments until 9 PM. Weekends are full of their events, family time, household chores and on and on ad nauseum.   People are often shocked at that. Finding Focus

Last week was pure hell. Anyone who has ever lost a beloved furbaby you have my sincerest condolences. I lost my little girl last Tuesday and I miss her terribly. She was over 18, had end stage kidney disease, and a couple new health items that cropped up. We did all we could to save her, but it was too late. She awaits us over Rainbow Bridge now.  Luckily, I have a tuxedo kitty too and he is not quite 14 yet. Diabetic, but in good health otherwise. He's been my love and light. He loves to

Hello Happy Followers I am very happy to announce, that thanks to an awesome follower. I am been able to recover 8 lost stories, that I thought I had lost forever. Diabetes ... again

I'm back again to talk about diabetes.   Some of you know that a friend of mine just died from sepsis, due to an uncontrolled infection which was a complication of having diabetes. She left a 21 year old son and 25 year old daughter. It's very very sad.   While it sad, it's partly her fault. It hurts me to write that. Love?

Darkened Days

It's been difficult lately for tim, and frustrating for me. Quokka's Stories Update

Well I have just completed publishing my tenth story on GA, and began posting chapters of two more stories. Those being Outback Corporation and Wellstead, with Outback Corporation being in two parts, the first has 9 chapters the second part has 5 chapters. Hello Followers I have had to take some time off from GA.   I have been still writing a little, starting a second story, with a 2nd book of New Beginnings, that is called NB - New Direction.   It still has to go through editing, so it will be a while before it appears on GA.   Meanwhile the next book of Outback is almost ready for publishing, so stay tuned for them. Letting Go (or the day my heart broke, just a little)

Oh, my heart!   I did something hard today.  I let my almost 18 year old daughter go on a 3 day trip. A trip that will take her some 4 hours away.  OK, it’s a school trip and there are chaperones.  She’s a member of her high school’s culinary team and I am so proud to be her mom!   Her brother has been taking trips with the marching band and indoor drum line groups since middle school.  And there have been some long ones, 16-18 hours! First, i am no expert on diabetes, but i am learning.    During the summer Michael (my Husband) learned he has type2 Diabetes. I'd rather suspected it, and asked a few times that he go to the doctor. The Gayborhood is Dying

I have returned...

Wow...I cannot believe my last entry was eons ago! My life has taken some serious twists n turns...I got out of a loooooooong marriage in 2015, found love and married again just last October   I moved to a new state, new home, with my new man, lost my job (twice) and am once again on God's good humor. Saying ****

As literate, creative people we should be able to say **** in all sorts of interesting ways.   Romance and drama would be pretty boring if there was only one word for ****.   Granted, **** is a multi-function, multipurpose Swiss Army Knife of words. It can, depending on usage, be a noun, verb, adjective and even an adverb. The problem with **** is that it gets overused and loses its  potency. There is definitely a time and a place for ****. Boys Are Odd Creatures

Boys are odd creatures.  Yes, they are. Don’t try to deny it. Let me explain.   i took both my boys shopping today.  (Yes i know you know i detest shopping.  i had no choice in this.  Anyway, that’s a different blog post. )   Boys, make odd noises.  They were talking, and they would accent their conversation with these strange vocalizations. i can’t even begin to describe them. Is there a gene, or other chromosomal anomaly that enables the male vocal chords to do that?
