I started this series discussion. Late.  Last few months.     Every time I think. Remember. Realize. That CARLOS is gone. I feel such a deep sense of sadness.  A joy and light has left my/this world.   I have enjoyed the pics he posted and have saved some of them.  It might be fun and a way to remember Carlos. And CJ and gang.        to share pics if you saved some of them?!‼️.   AND  does anyone have a pic of Carlos.  I would be grateful if you would share it. TIA

Carlos was an amazing person, and we will all miss him. That said, please don't post any pictures that he didn't share publicly himself first (meet ups, privately shared images on/off site). GA respects a person's right on what they choose to post publicly about themselves, and he is no longer here to give permission.

On this 4th of July 2023, I imagine CJ, Ozzie and Liebe,  César and Brett, Richie, extended family, squad members and friends walking from Everhope down to the reflecting pool to listen to the Star Spangled Banner and the 1812 Overture and watch the glorious fireworks. And take a moment to pause and remember absent family and friends.

I live in Milwaukee WI.    I drove by the lake front and saw they were setting up for their  ……….120th anniversary of Harley Davidson.   
I was hit with a huge wave of sadness.  I did not know if Carlos was planing of being here or not.  I have had a few emails with him over the past bit, and thought I remembered he said he might be up this way. 
I was hoping looking forward to the chance to meet…..,,?………

I can barely bring myself to GA now knowing that there are no more treasures from Carlos.

On a cool Halloween in 2023, two fathers leave a house in DC named 'Everhope' with their costumed young daughter and a 'super' dog wearing a cape. (Followed by a man larger than Chewbacca for security). 

Met by two loving (doting) grandfathers, they begin door-to-door "Trick or Treats" for the girl name Liebe. And create memories for family and friends to cherish for years to come.

I’m myself rereading again Carlos’s work and missing his writemanship and his easy way to create a universe with characters we’ve come to love and cherish. I miss the banter in the comments, I miss dm’ing him to ask something, miss his presence… but am really happy I came to meet him and his writing. 
Carlos, wherever you are, know we think of you. Many happy trails to you!

This other pool (Abello's California) sold in 2018 for $90.3 Mil. Any original Hackney owned by 'A' and 'Cap' would be priceless. Not to mention visually stunning. This cold icy January in DC, would see them (with CJ, Ozzie and Liebe) poolside at their Malibu beachfront home in California.

As he had in past CJ stories since CJ and Ozzie got married and Liebe was born, Carlos would have mentioned or celebrated her very special birthday, which coincided with the conservancy work CJ and Ozzie embraced. 

So Happy Birthday Liebe, on Earth Day 2024.

Liebe, Carlos and I, (he reminded me of "who's more important" 😉), shared consecutive ♉ birthdays. Carlos would have been 66 tomorrow, April 23rd.

Thanks for remembering these birthdays. I had meant to but got caught up in a family member's health issues. I miss him.

One year ago today, (June 16, 2023) we lost a friend, a colleague, a great writer, story teller, and someone who was unafraid to tell it exactly like it is. (although he was the first to admit he wasn't always that way). To say Carlos is missed is an understatement. 

To know how much he would have revelled at the outcome of a trial of an ex POTUS, and somehow work it into comments by CJ ? I can see his smile from here.

Carlos just got on his Harley, and went for a ride. Calbalga y via con Dios, mi amigo.

It’s being a complicated day. I would so love to be able to talk to Carlos about the Biden situation, to tap CJ’s mind on what he thinks about this… having just gone through my first Covid (I swear, I would have done perfectly keeping this virginity), lots of time alone, re-reading out Carlos’ world… just missing a friend, don’t pay me any attention, I’m not different to any of you “Carlos A. Hazday-ers” missing our dear friend.

10 years ago the first chapter of CJ's life was posted here and what a ride it's been since then.

Have to say I still miss Carlos and his writing here, started my morning today with reading some of the tributes that has been posted. Always looked forward to the 1st of January because it mostly meant a new story from Carlos.

First, I want to express my sadness in learning of Carlos' passing. Second, I want to thank him for leaving a long wonderful series for many readers to enjoy. 
I came across the first 4 books of the CJ series early in 2024 on one website and was a bit upset there wasn't more.... or so I thought. Then, a couple of months ago  I found more on another site.... and got through book 10. I decided to google Carlos' name and found GA and SO MANY MORE BOOKS on CJ and The Squad. I will be kept buys reading for a while and am filled with joy to continue reading about this wonderful family and world that Carlos created. rest in peace and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

*Now I am trying to figure out if I should be reading by the date the story was posted or by the book number - example, Hunting Season was posted in Sept 2017 but it is book 12 and Goodnight My Angel was posted in January 2019 and it is book 10. 
Can anyone offer any guidance? Much appreciated.

go by book number, easier to follow and understand all the story lines Carlos had intertwined.
