  1. Past hour
  2. Al Norris

    Chapter 5

    With no cheese or mayo!
  3. I guess we’ll see if it was or not. Perhaps he covered his tracks well as far as his “job” was concerned. All makes sense to me. Me too!
  4. drpaladin

    Chapter 5

    Or maybe just bologna sandwiches.
  5. pvtguy

    Chapter 5

As a retired educator, I will say that Mr. Dumbass Principal just lost his license and, I hope, will find "3 hots and a cot" to be his home for a long while! Peter is feeling so many new things: love, respect, support along with the stupidity that exists everywhere, unfortunately. Great writing!
  6. If there were a log of my sins, it'd be a single page that read in bold, "No sins committed."
  7. John Henry

    Chapter 3

Now, that's just crazy talk right there....
  8. VBlew

M said mother told him he could get pregnant, and it really seemed like he was having morning sickness. He could be. That would make the agent want to inspect him even more!!! Hopefully with the tracker out Connor will be a little better with the headache situation. Back to SD. Maybe Hannah really can be of some help.

    Chapter 50

I have always thought money was Calvin's motivation for returning to "claim his boys", but it never occurred to me that said boys may be the beneficiaries of an estate or at least Calvin thinks they are/may be the beneficiaries of an estate. You may well have hit the nail on the head with this speculation @JohnnyC. Clarke's questions to his client certainly did not paint him in a favourable light nor did the texts between Calvin and his mother. By the time Billy finishes cross examining him I believe (hope) he will have lost any pretence at civility and let his guard down completely to reveal what his true motivation is for wanting to "claim his boys". Crusty was surprisingly fair for the most part during Calvin's questioning. Was this legitimate or merely window-dressing? I eagerly look forward to the next chapter, one in which I hope we see Billy's rapier-like wit and eloquent destruction of Calvin's claims in abundance. Well done @John Henry.
  10. So, the family was involved to some as yet unknown degree with the Russian mob; not something that would be healthy to anyone in the long term. I would worry about some of the family money being tied to something not on the up and up; but perhaps Boris fixed that as much as possible before his death. Was the death tied to a mob issue or something else? Being gay in the Russian mafia would not be looked upon with great affection. I like Bass as much as anyone can with the little exposure. I really like Rocky, and personally did not find him full of himself at all; sort of wonder why @drsawzall felt that? He knows what he wants and what he needs from those around him. Probably smart for someone with is family background; and the fact that Bass had to step in with the former tennis coach would easily explain his issues with having someone around him that he doesn't know well being gay. Can't wait to see what happens next.
  11. Oh, nothing much. I made my lunch for work tomorrow. Max is at a sleepover at his friend, Michael's house. Oh, and Morgan and I finished watching a movie on DVD. The usual.

    Chapter 20

"he was never going to let Alex touch him without a condom" I hope it isn't too late! I also wish Tyler would wake up and throw the bum out!
  14. CincyKris

    Chapter 6

I finished the chapter, and enjoyed the conversation with Max. Perhaps Sofia will develop more as a character later, but so far she is just playing the part of victim. Since she, Addy (the Connor clone), and cute Emma are the principle reason for Sam to come home, I feel like Sofia should be meeting Sam halfway. I don't dislike Max because he doesn't want to settle down. Max can't change how he feels anymore than Sam can just stop being in love with him. Hopefully Ben will be a better match for him.
  15. drpaladin

    Chapter 5

He's trapped in the moment. It's harder to see the big picture.
  16. At one time we had three movie theaters in our small town. For a number of years now we have none.
  17. Al Norris

    Chapter 3

I'm among those who see Bryan needs to learn to control his emotional outbursts... At least while in school. 😉
  18. Nong, I'm older and don't have your amazing memory. Plus I don't keep a log of all your sins, I'd never get any rest.
  19. drpaladin

    Chapter 8

Despite Mitch being older, Peter is more mature.
  20. Daddydavek

    Chapter 19

Tyler needs to realize Alex is a douche and flush him out of his life.

    Chapter 6

You're right he doesn't. They all have their own damage to work through. They all loved a complicated man in their own ways. I'm always OK with people not liking my characters for whatever their personal reasons may be because writing is an art and art should always evoke an emotional response of some kind. Whatever it is for that person is cool. I know in my mind how the story proceeds and ends and why it makes sense in my head-- I know each part start to finish, but it's a Testament to how we are as individuals that we can all read the same thing and interpret in different ways. Did you actually finish reading the chapter? That portion with Sofia was minute. You might be best off waiting till the entire story is posted to read it. Not that you won't see how it unfolds as it goes along, but I know many people, myself included, like to read things in one sitting. I can't stand to read series as they go year by year because I can't see forward that far and it makes me go whhhhhhy! Lol and then I read all the books together I say, Ah HAH!!! THAT'S what the author was building to the entire time. Annnnd sometimes I still don't like it hehe. But it might help you with Halos if you opt to continue reading. A few of my readers on the other site I used to publish on told me they prefer to read it in one shot because my stories are long as is this one. It's not even a third in.
