Houston, I think we have a plan

Renting a motor home didn't work out because of tow weight limits and Bonita being a nonhuman species, which seems to bother some people, why I don't know.   We're renting a Suburban or Expedition, instead. Our son and I will drive, leaving the wife and Bonita to do whatever it is they do while riding in a vehicle. I know the wife usually falls asleep a few moments after drive is engaged, which is one of the reasons she won't be behind the wheel, and Bonita quites lays in her carrier thinking

Invasion

Ironman   In 2531 the galactic survey cruiser Cabot entered CYG 035-4122 on a routine mapping mission. There was absolutely nothing out of the ordinary about the system. CYG 035-4122 was ordinary in all respects with a dwarf star and an average planetary system. It was merely one of thousands charted during the First Galactic Survey. What the Cabot found there would have profound implications for humanity.   The Cabot entered the system and began a routine scan of the single class K4 dwarf s

Happy News!

Okay, so two days ago I was breaking down in tears because it seemed like no matter what I did I could never get out of the rathole im currently living in. I got an extra shift permanently added to my schedule and im not a moron - i know how to live on a budget and what I can afford. With the extra shift each week I can afford my own place but it seemed like everywhere I went they wanted 3x rent as minimum monthly income. I was ready to give up... but yesterday I came across an ad in the paper..

Yes, I am happy

Something weird is happening.   The wife got her hearing aids on Monday and her left ear can literally hear a pin drop, which is driving her batty because there are a whole lot more sounds out there louder than a pin clattering onto carpet. She'll be calling Miracle Ear this morning.   Last night I got the screwy idea of renting a motor home and heading down to Arkansas to visit the wife's family. I asked what she thought of the idea of asking our son to go along and maybe allowing us to tow

So I went with Plan A...

I suppose that makes sense since, typically, I'm not a big fan of Plan B on. Does that make me picky? Always wanting to have my way? Yes? Oh well   So I sent her to school Tuesday with instructions, that if her teacher tries to give her detention for not bringing candy for the whole class, that she should say that I want her to call me. I asked her when I picked her up after school what happened, and she said nothing... the teacher didn't even mention it. So one of three things happened... 1)

Awake, pt. 6

I'm kinda getting used to this night stuff, even if I end up sleeping during the day. Of course if I stay up all day, I sleep most of the night. I've been working very hard on getting up before seven in the morning so that I can take the mood stabilizer doses twelve hours apart, as they're supposed to be. So far, that's working.   Tonight I actually worked on Chapter 18 doing a bit on Six. Didn't write much, but at least I wrote something. It has been too long since I've posted anything on thi

Stale as Week Old Bread..

So I finished up on my latest story, Be Rad. I'll post Chapter 40 (the final one) today sometime, and started on the next one. I'm kind of frustrated with myself. I have a really hard time writing in a true prick. Not as in male phallus, as in someone who is truly bad and evil, and has no redeeming qualities. Every time I try to do it, I end up rehabbing them and making them human and, to me, somewhat likable. (I almost wrote lickable. Freudian slip). I worry that this makes my writing

Read at your own risk

I don't know what it is lately, but many people have been annoying the heck outta me. Most recent thing, my manager forgot to tell me until I was two hours late to work that she switched my schedule THIS week, not next week. Normally I would've been like eh, but not this time. Cus I missed 2.5 hours today, so I have to make it up this thursday and work a 12.5 hour shift.   Now, onto my next annoyance which is *drumroll please* people. Yes people. They've been annoying the heck out of me. Ther

Batting 1000

I've been attempting for some time to rewrite a story that I originally started in college, then mostly lost the track of in its later stages. Since then, I wrote a sequel, then went back and utterly revised a fundamental aspect of the original story. I know none of this is particularly interesting, but I do have a point: when committing a revision of this magnitude, check your assumptions. Best in fact to check your assumptions about what you've written at the door.   In this case, in the ori

What's wrong with me?

I'm starting to think that I must be boring, at least after a while. It's like people initially find me interesting but eventually get bored with me. I don't really understand it. Do I lack spontaneity and fun? That's what I'm starting to wonder. It seems to be an endless cycle, and in the end, I am left with a bad taste in my mouth and a complete lack of understanding of what went wrong. I guess I am overly impulsive at times, but aren't a lot of people? Isn't that human nature? The biggest que

I slept with a woman last night...

Two blog entries in the same month? No way! But this one is short.   Ever have one of those nights where you're laying in bed at 1:30 watching CSI and it's a creepy part when someone starts tapping on your window? So you pause the show thinking it was just your mind, but the tapping happens again. Then you can't turn the light on so you throw clothes on and open the door to pitch black and all you see is someone standing there crying. No? Well it happened to me...   Turns out it was my gener

Awake, pt. 5

As usual it's close to 02:30 while I'm starting this entry.   The surgery went well, I suppose as the meeting with the surgeon it's till next week. Pain medication lasted a few days meaning I still have lots if I need them in the future.   I've started to teach myself Spanish (Latin American). I subscribed to Rosetta Stone and have finished two units so far. I like their immersion process as it is similar to the language training (North Vietnamese) I had in the Air Force back in the late Six

My Winter

If I can just make it through winter I'll be fine. Winters are always the hardest for me. I know it doesn't seem like I've had a particularly difficult winter based on my recent blog posts, and indeed I really haven't, but nevertheless, winters are the toughest. Februarys especially are tough. I'm usually still riding on my fall energy until February. After February things start to come back to life. But in February...well I'm done. No more energy, harder to keep perspective, harder to ke

and my wasted heart will love you until...

Sorry, guys, I'm on sappy love movie number two of the day, and that's not counting Fanboys we saw earlier, too, which, by the way, was pretty good, if anyone was curious.   So, I have a question for you...   My daughter came home from school today all upset because... Well, at her school, the kids can buy these candy gram things to send to their friends. She got two from her friends and didn't really like the candy it came with, so she gave the candies to two of her classmates. Now, as I u

Yes, I'm alive.

No, I'm not well. I'm sick. I hack up solid mucus for the most part. This is after sleeping mind you, which I will be doing in about 10 minutes after this is posted and I cackle at people.   I still have no job. I'm looking but it's hard when your ankles swell in the f**king heat. So I'm broke.   I'm selling stories. One shots. Want the details, PM or -E-mail me. I'll tell you what's the what.   I hate Yuma. I want to kill my aunt. I want to go on a homicide spree because of all the stupid

Alright... since it seems to be an issue

So, it seems that people want to minimize my bad experience. So now I'm just going to tell everyone what it was all about. Here's how it was. A couple of years ago I was really into this guy. He was a lot older than me. It was the summer after my dad died, so I was seeking older men. Here's the thing. He'd been raped repeatedly when he was a teen. Thus, he was scared. So basically, I got a total mind f**k from hell, and that's why I have serious issues where "closet cases" are concerned. I got h

Hosted Status: Quite a Journey

I'm kind of a rebel. Seems like I often end up fighting against "the system," and I usually end up mouthing off and getting myself in trouble. I've done that plenty of times here at GA, and gotten myself in lots of trouble. Even got some warning bars along the way. Of course, for someone like me, that was almost a badge of honor. At least it used to be.   I was gone from GA for quite awhile. Almost 2 years. I pretty much bailed during the "days of Kitty," and I really hadn't planned t

Around Red Bank... My hand at photography

Hey everyone Today before work I took some pictures of the town I love, Red Bank NJ. It's a nice town filled with lots of open space, neat little shops, a Starbucks and the like. While I was taking pictures, I was listening to a song that I've come to fall in love with "Asleep - The Smiths" and I personally think it goes well with the photos I took. So if you want, take a look at the photos and listen to the song while doing so. If you wanna leave some comments, feel free to here or on the act

Whats Up... Class starts again next week and it looks like I'm going to end the off time with a whimper rather than a bang. That's okay though, I got a lot done over the break. Not writing wise, but I guess I sorted some personal shit out, ran into some more, and got that dealt with.   Crap I still need to buy books, and update the FAFSA... Totally out of left field...   A cheap little prepaid TMobil phone was left at the station last week. No one has claimed it, or even asked ab
