timmy's poetry - 38. Various Goodbyes

1.

Thank you for the pain

But you can’t put me down

Try as you may

Oh, I wanted to die

But that’s in the past

You’ve done your worst

Pretend he doesn’t exist

So that’s what I do

That world was make believe

Maybe it was Camelot once

No more it’s not

You saw too well to that

jeff

I loved you

Hated you

Begged you

Miss you

Why did you?

With no thought for me

Your last selfish act

On my knees

Held out my hand

Asked you

Offered to help

And you said no

—You said no—
Then you left forever
Leaving me no answers
With unending nightmares
Then with truth I can’t un-know

How could you?

2.

In this freshest of mornings

With cool air rustling leaves

I no longer care what you did

Your misdeeds mean zero to me

Cruel games hurt the player

You use misdirection

Soliciting pity like it was sex

I see clearly who you are

I was a fool to have trusted

Someone like you

I thought I saw a glimmer

But it was only fool’s gold

Yes, sometimes you do have to let them go. But are they ever really gone? That's the struggle. They reappear when you least expect it and when you least want them to. Still...it helps to verbally say goodbye. Great set of poems, tim.

thank you, Sir.  and you're right, i've been saying goodby to  jeff for years now ... but he always comes back. i suspect he always will.  thank You for your comments. i appreciate them, Sir

Damn tim... I hope that every step you take into a new day, every new memory you make, each word you write about letting go unleashes you farther from your past. So it won't be a battle to be won when it rears its ugly head..

Love you bunches

love you too, boss!  it's not so much of a battle now, things happened recently to make me remember, but it's okay. It will never fully leave me, i know that, but it's easier to deal with. and 1 and 2 are not about my past... but they may be more recent but they are water off a ducks back... hugs xo  thanks for your comments and support.

You face letting someone go - all the hurt, all the pain,  and whatever good there was. You tell it plainly, and eloquently. And now maybe the power he retained is diminished, and the light you offer rises.

hey Parker xoxo  thanks for commenting. jeff doesnt have much power anymore. when i think of him, it's more with pity and sadness for his lot, rather than what he did to me.

Lil brother... You are so much more than your past. Contemplation on those moments makes us stronger. Giving demons less hold on us. You have a powerful love to rise above. With a Sir who adores you! XOXO

thank you jp. it was a rough couple of months for us both, eh?  but maybe things are slowly turning around ..let's hope so.. xoxxoxo

'Goodbye' this word itself sparks a sort of sadness weather it is temporary or permanent. The hardest part of life is to say goodbye! But I think u need to do it anyway. That person may stay with u forever but of course not physically.

Ur poem has always been touching. Wonderful tim n I wish u the very best in life!!

Thank you Aviana. for your comments and kind wishes xo

I think, you didn´t let him go, you let yourself go. That is even better, because it is a act which empowers you and not something you just have to acept. Am I right?

 Love Sis.

May your path which lays before you get bathed in sunshine.

Maybe you are right. but not until recently, i think i kind of figured it out.. thank you, i hope the same for you xo
