@Kileoli No time like the present to start and keep writing. I've written shorter stories while gradually working on a longer-chaptered story.  It's been a year for me, but I'm still going with the help of fellow writers here. Don't be afraid to reach out, and there are many blogs right here on the forum that also help with writing, from beginner level to advanced.

I know writing is a slow process when it is supposed to be good.

So on my next haunt I have to see where I can find a beta reader and an editor as my ally.

I've published for some years on some other online forums, and only just learned about gayauthors today. I hope to publish something this weekend, after I ensure my profile and other settings are properly set up.

@Boy Mercury X as far as dumb screennames go, mine was an ingloriously rushed, half-scrambled  version of my real name typed while losing a drinking game in my late teens. If you think it's not that bad, try to find the "Benedict" in it. 

Edit: So yours isn’t bad at all. Others can at least read it clearly.

Yeah, so I need to know what it was supposed to be...like desperately. 

In my head, BendtedWreath makes sense....but BenedictWreath does not.  Inquiring minds need to know!

Welcome, Joe, to, IMHO, the best location for an author to showcase his work, enjoy the works of some incredible authors, and learn from others. All while having fun in the forums!!

I'm eager to read your work, as I've not seen it elsewhere, though now I'll be SEARCHING other sites. Do you use the same nom de plume elsewhere?

We're almost the same age! I turn 38 on March 2!
