one of the things i love about you is how you take these things you see, things that affect you, and you turn it into these stirring words 

it's an amazing gift tim, and we are better for your having shared it with us

There is an emptiness I feel I this. There is cavern in which your words echo with the sadness and waste of all this, and the grim outrage of betrayal.  This poem is wet with the tears you shed, as should we all, for a man who knew too little love. 

There is sadness, emptiness, and loneliness weaving itself through this piece. This is a beautiful tribute to a boy short-changed in life. Never to be forgotten. Beautiful tim.

I read the article in the Manchester Evening News first and then your poem. It's impossible not to be affected by Daniel's plight and your words provide a chilling epitaph.

I have seen many like him in London and in Toronto too, sleeping on top of the subway grills to keep warm. They are overlooked by hundreds of empty apartments and condominiums, bought as investment properties to generate enormous wealth for people who are already enormously wealthy.

I don't usually read poetry, but this was very moving.

tim knows only too well of life on the streets. He's written much about his own time there, and how it feels to be truly invisible.  The detectives did a wonderful job,  it wouldn't have too many years ago, when a case like this would have been pushed aside.

An extremely touching tribute. 

Again you give words and life to the invisible and make us see. Namasté little brother.

thank you molly ... this was nearly my fate .. my attackers just didn't quite finish the job .. it was hard to watch the show about this case and listen to the witnesses. xo

Thank you Parker, daniel was a loving person, but he did some bad things to his mother and grandmother and likely others, but no one deserves this.

My nephew's name is Daniel. He is my godson and my joy. I can't imagine turning him away ever. 

you never would, but i doubt if this daniel's mother and gran ever thought they would either.  But he stole from them, got into drugs and trouble, until they could not deal with him any longer ... it's a sad sad story and i hope your Daniel never has to go through anything like it xo

this story was too close to home.. i was on the street for 7 years.. i was 22 when 4 guys beat me so badly i am lucky to be here today.  i know what he went through, i can still feel it.  but i am still here .. and i will write for them

A tragic and disturbing loss. This is a meaningful and personable tribute to Daniel. RIP.
