Good story but needs proofreading and polishing. There are too many wrong words being used, sometimes in the same sentence. Calmed should be claimed, reports / reporters, apologies / apologize etc. The sort of thing spell checkers are unlikely to pick up on , as they're spelled (or spelt, I'm English) correctly, but humans can.

Are you using a tablet with autocorrect to write this?
