timmy's poetry - 9. To My Disease

Two poems .. after i've been sick all week...

To My Disease

Inside me you live but my death is your goal

You crawl through my veins, my heart and my brain

No amount of wishes or prayers will send you away

My cells, bolstered by medicines keep you at bay

It’s hard to think of you as a friend

I judge you to be my enemy

So I promise now, my doc to obey

I’ll fight you, but accept come what may

I don’t know if or when you’ll become full blown

Then an earlier death is a certainty

I know I need to do better, it’s the only way

I cannot afford to remain blasé

To My Husband

I look into your deep brown eyes

Then you press your lips to my own

You keep me close and safe

In your generous embrace

I’m sick and tired, it’s hard to cope

Whisper I’m sorry, you deserve

So much more than

The future I behold

Your words sooth my soul:

I love you more than I can say.

From the first and to

The end, you are for me

Never quit ...

Doesn't matter that I don't know you on a personal level, tim. This poem hurts me. Plain and simple. Hugs to you and hugs to Michael for giving you the love and support you need and deserve. Hope you're feeling a little better today. xo

Thanks Mac! Yeah i think i do ... got some drugs today to help fight this flu. But honestly i have to do better...and see the doc sooner. Sorry if this hurt ... i didn't mean for it to. Thanks for reading and your kind comments.

The tears are because I fear for you ... because you are tim, little brother ... but, I smile too because you are tim, who Michael loves.

Namaste to you both.

Aw dugh, i'm no worse than usual. But keeping silent has been hard, so what do poets do? They write it out. That's all this is just fighting back. Hugs and namaste big brother.

love tim xoxo

I'll add my tears to the others wept.

But, know you always have friends here and of curse you will always have Michael. We're all grateful to have you as well.

Aww dont cry .. so many people in this boat. And well, considering what happened to me, well i'm lucky this is the worst thing. And to be fair things turned out pretty well for me. So onward and upward.. thanks Caz. xoxxoxo
