I get the feeling by the writing style that today's SA is  relatively new author. Just because its set in Australia and references many terms there doesn't necessarily mean the author lives there. Maybe they spent a semester abroad or we're stationed there for a job?

Hmmm... the plot thickens.

I'm tending to agree with @chris191070, I too think this has @quokka written all over it. And I hope we get more after the reveal, I loved reading it.

I'm sure he trying that tactic. But have you noticed the lack of comments and reactions from a large number of our esteemed authors? What are they hiding, hmm, now I'm thinking hard and it hurts.

It's Sunday.  The lazy gits are all sleeping in. I would've too, but the damn dog was barking to go out at 7am.

I really liked the writing style of Take Me to Your Leader. Nothing felt unclear or too sudden. Young, bright teenagers do have energy and drive...and many may appear fearless, but even the most sheltered teens struggle with something they're insecure about. Everything from the next exam to a pimple to having a full bladder in the middle of a road trip.

Edit: I would like to sit all the scifi writers together and have them borrow elements from each other. The action from Off the Rails, the challenges from Hiding in Plain Sight. And the buttery flow of Take Me to Your Leader.

Better that than having your new weinerdog puppy NOT know how to bark and peeing everywhere, including my bed a few minutes ago.  She might be going on a long train journey……….
as for the story I thought it was @quokka until the sci-fi part slipped in which I didn’t really get…

We had a dog that didn't bark to be led out, but would tug on a person's pant leg as an SOS to go outside.

@weinerdog

... could you kindly tell your kin to stop peeing in Gary's bed? Geesh... you guys and your stubby little legs.

Now she can jump up on sofa when we are not in the living room but unable to get down so starts pitiful wail.  And the next arrives Sept 2. We must be mad!

Doxie owners are a weird lot.

Time to invest in doggy stairs.
