Mateo seems like a lot of fun on several levels. I hope that Dallen and he continue to be friends and that friendship grows in many ways. Dallen has been a little sheltered, but his friends will make sure he is ready to face the world coming up. The ceremonial tomahawk is very symbolic, and the fact that Dallen keeps seeing the Ghost Cat is as well.

Hey, I have to leave a cliffy every once in a while to see if you're paying attention. And gaining the license plate number wouldn't have mattered. Her rescuers walked away and Mac drove the SUV, and the deputies saw the SUV when they returned to their campsite later, so they might have noted the license plate number too. Oh, and good ol' Louella Haskins can do all the snooping she wants and she wouldn't find anything.

Dallen's mother is much more perceptive than he gives her credit for. I loved how tied into nature Tocho and Dallen both are; and the fact the mountain lion is getting that close and allowing them see her/him is something else.

Yep, and hopefully they won't have accidentally duplicated someone else's fingerprints.

Interesting start to the story; I am glad that Pahana's mother was okay with Tocho staying the night. Seems like Dallen was telling the truth and his mother just never thought it was possible. LOL. Can't wait to see how this progresses.

She stays late and refuses their offer to drive her home and then gets abducted when she leaves the cab. Yes suspicious. She is shouting from the background. Hmm. Evidence of here real identity is being collected but not yet available. Three against one believe she is fake. Important clues or just red herrings? Will Joe need to call in his associates? The extortion call has been made so time is running out.

Ok now you got me interested in the next chapter of why. Manny will need a gun in his bedroom soon. Rocky has a "smart" mouth and he is going to get himself in trouble. I know that cause I had a slightly "smart" mouth when I was a teenager. But I had my little sister to take up for me. She was a tom boy and didn't take crap from anyone. Lol

What an uplifting chapter overall. I am so glad that Suoki was able to catch up with some old friends and find out that this group was able to rebuild their lives; they may need to help others if they can. But they are not ready to get involved in any of the fighting that is taking place out in the cosmos. Was really hoping that Lyoth was going to be there; who does the second ship belong to? Suoki was shocked to hear what happened to Quigley; and it just shows the horror of what they are up against. Glad that the boys tried to teach Suoki and doesn't sound like they took advantage of him. Great chapter...

I think I'll leave the elf and lycan stories to @Geron Kees and @WolfM respectively, who do much better with that than I could. But the creatures in this story are starting to look a little less than normal. Maybe ask me that question again when this story is finished
