Egaran Stars - 72. Galen- Faro's Legacy
“Hey, I heard about Reinard.”
Galen glanced up from his posca, catching his breath after a rough round with a rather forceful tiger. Iason sat across from him with a sigh, studying the blue Egaro.
“How are you doing? I know it’s hard letting a lover go,” the white tiger said gently.
“It’s only been a week, and I’m already looking forward to seeing him again next year,” Galen sighed quietly. “Have you seen Ryan?”
The other Egaro winced, nodding slowly.
“He’s not adjusting too well. Apparently having only one eye is hard. Who knew?”
Galen chuckled sadly, remembering when he had seen the human after Reinard’s accident. He had been lucky to keep his other eye, a scar running across his face from where Reinard had cut him. It was gruesome, and it marked the end of the human’s career in front of the camera. He was still learning to work behind the scenes with his new disability, but for now, Pasiphaë was their sole cameracat.
“Well, time to go drain another tiger of their load,” Iason sighed, standing up again. “I want to thank you for that, by the way. Suddenly every tiger and his cub wants me to ride them until they empty themselves inside me. You seem to have started a trend.”
“Yeah, well, you aren’t getting any more of that from me,” Galen smirked. “I’m still recovering from your heat.”
“Oh please, I was gentle with you,” Iason scoffed, stepping out of the room.
Galen was left alone with his drink, and his thoughts. He had another ten minutes before he was supposed to help Aedan with a scene, the two working on soft films for now. Aegle had signed off on the more cuddly scenes, Aedan convincing her that the tiger could use a bit of gentleness after Reinard left. Themis was working nonstop cutting videos and editing, trying to do her job and Ryan’s while the man recovered. Reinard’s legacy could be seen throughout the porneo, and none of it was good.
That weighed heavily on the tiger’s mind as he drained his drink. He had taken to visiting Noreen every day, if only to ask about the Xanar’s friend on Uisge. There was no news from Reinard, nor would there be for nearly another month. He would be lucky to make it to Uisge before he gave birth, and part of Galen prayed he’d receive news that he was a pater in two months’ time. It was one of the reasons Galen had insisted on the more expensive berth in the liner. His Faro was carrying precious cargo, and he wanted to be sure the fox got all the care he needed on the way to the new planet.
But the silence, the waiting, was pure torture. He had taken to going home with Aedan just to have a body to sleep with. And while the deer still had not put out for a scene like he always said he needed to, Galen just enjoyed the cuddles. They were all he was really after.
