tim's Bits and Pieces - 95. en pointe

i haven't been good. i'm trying to work through things.
On that note... this is not a happy poem.. so take this as a ***WARNING***.

Now I’m laid open
like flayed beef

Alive yet lifeless
my chest rises and falls

Tears sit unshed
while my heart bleeds

Time is a zephyr
- a cat’s paw

Death is en pointe

I don’t know you,

But I know this much,

On my life you’ve made a touch,

Through the words

You shine a light,

Making our lives so bright.

Now you wander a dark path,

Desperately look for light,

There’s no such a gift in me,

To light the flames so you could see.

But when you raise your glance at sun,

Catching tiny healing ray,

Feeling heat while you're at run,

That’s me, sending hugs today.

My first attempt at writing poetry in English! I know it's not much (certainly not Lord Byron 🙂) but it's from the heart! @Mikiesboy:heart:

9 lines, 33 words

that rip apart imagination – conjecture -

exposing it for what it is

33 words

to counter with life and hope and …

The Red Admiral on the wall next to the door

The purple-blue morning glory thriving through the drought

The gray morning mist hugging the valley at dawn

Yellowish carrots shaped by the stones constricting their growth, yet growing

Sun-loving laurel battling against the Northern conditions, yet thriving

A pair of common redstarts visited us today outside our window

looking around

never explaining why or what for

life goes on

a gift

every day

every hour

Be well, my friend!
