tim's Bits and Pieces - 38. Both of You
It is said the heart is a lonely hunter
To some extent that’s the truth
But to love we cannot be alone
To love there must more than you
We deny and hide from our reality
Push our true natures away
All in the name of modesty
We can’t be that in polite company
When we meet in a burst of starlight
The energy is overwhelming, true
I want you with my body and mind
Nearly becoming a part of you
Societal mores say we are not right
Lovers cannot be more than a duo
But here we are, two more than one
I want you both in the cold of the night
And if we three are happy with our life
Why is it considered wrong?
Our love for each other is real and true
I know because I love both of you.
