tim's Bits and Pieces - 92. Questions

Questions

1.

I have run for miles, afraid
hidden from view
from prying eyes
My pounding heart
an atomic blast
No matter how fleet
I cannot outrun you
and I cannot bury you
My seeping blood
does not banish you
Though the dead are buried
you are immortal,
waiting for me to die
Can I pay my way
to sanity?

2.

When come the end of days
will we know the truth
before the sun explodes
killing our descendants
in an instant?
Will humanity have been
a blink of the universe’s eye?
When we are gone, will
anyone remember us?
Will any mourn?

So powerful in so few words.

Sanity cannot be bought. It is won through through grit and determination. Most us of us fight for it on a daily basis in some way.

Our world is constantly evolving and changing. Humanity will most likely be long gone from its bonds by the time the sun goes supernova. The best we can do is to make our mark while we're still here.

You always make me think tim. Thank you for jump-starting my noggin today. ❤️

You ask questions in Number 2 that occur to me also - sometimes at my desk at work, sometimes in the middle of the night. I don’t have answers, yet I’m comforted that I’m not the only one asking. Number 1 makes me feel breathless, as if I were part of a movie scene. Thank you for such vivid questions.
