tim's Bits and Pieces - 91. Gratitude

These are just two small poems. Nature can humble us like nothing else. There is beauty in the grayest of days.

1.

Fog lays over the sodden ground
where is the joy in this?
Smile, nature is grateful
for the life-giving rain

Monochrome skies of gray
can bring melancholy, yet
trees and grass are vivid green
and umbrellas bob in colour

Find solace on rainy days
close your eyes and rest
as the world drinks and
is quenched and renewed

2.

There is joy in little things
like the pretty stone you found
take comfort from the gentle rain
as soft as eiderdown

Sleep and a cup of coffee
ease our troubled minds
seek guidance in simple words
love is a tie that binds

A smile here, a kind word there
calm the troubled waters
be humble in your dealings
before yourself, see others

Thank you for reading. I'm grateful you chose to today.
