tim's Bits and Pieces - 63. Time For Everything

As I look again into my abyss, I wonder

It is a question with no answer I can find

I seek resolution from the depths I plunder

By laying waste to the ruins of my mind

I am not the first nor last to query thus

And I fear all this is just a waste of time

They tell me stop; its not worth the fuss

Yet the search continues in spite of the climb

There are no reasons for being to be found

We are born and then it seems, wait to die

Books and Gods offering purpose abound

Though so far there’s nothing to which I can ally

A weariness of life inside me grows

I fear and desire the peace of endless dark

Then the Fates share the beauty of the rose

I find strength once more to tend the dampened spark

Outside myself I look for purpose and belief

I search for peace that mindfulness can bring

Seeking happiness under weighty stones of grief

Learning there is indeed, a time for everything

Thank you for reading. Many of you suffer as i ... i hope you find some peace.

Beautiful.

There are times when it's hard to see the rose through the darkness.

It can be very hard to see it. Then we need to try and summon even the smallest hint of faith that the rose remains.

Thank you for your thoughts and comments, Fae.

Oh!!  Thank you for saying so. I think that's immensely brave and wonderful. Poetry can offer so much, say so much. Thank you for being open enough to try it and to say so!!!

tim, my brother. This is one of your poems that takes me a while to digest, and the reason why is in your note at the end. Suffering from the same starting point as you.

I felt this poem in my soul. It spoke to me on several levels. Being there, and knowing first hand the struggle. Fantastic piece of work.

This is hauntingly beautiful. It made me cry and smile. Years ago I had lain under those weighty stones of grief. My chest was so tight that it hurt to draw breath into my body. It lasted for a long time,  It was hard climbing out of that place in my life but it did get better, and I'm so glad that I did climb out.

You are immensely talented. Thank you for sharing such an intimate piece.

Hello spyke ... thank you very much for leaving your thoughts. i appreciate it.  It is hard to climb out of that place. i think i am finally figuring it out. it involves an amazing App and embracing and practicing mindfulness.

i am glad you are free of it.. thanks again for reading. xo
