tim's Bits and Pieces - 103. Thanksgiving Morning
In the still of predawn
above the stars wait gracefully
for the day to cover night.
with the light comes an awakening
birds sing
squirrels chitter
eyes open and
the business of living is started once more
Before the light we walk,
beneath the few city stars,
dog nearby
it is cool and most blessedly quiet
I could live in this moment forever
In peace
with only our murmured words
and footsteps
i thank you all for reading.
