And you are deserving of peace without annihilation. you deserve to look at beauty and not suffer for it. you deserve good without a catch or a price to pay.

You are neither weak nor undeserving!

As your Husband, sometimes these are difficult for me to comment on.  Your friends above are right but I know you and I understand what anxiety and depression do to your sense of self.  Hold on to your friend's comments because they are truth.  You are robbed of your ability to see what we see when you're feeling low.  Read what your friends are saying when you cannot hear us.

I can identify with some of this, @Mikiesboy and @MichaelS36.  I suffer with a low-grade depression from which some days are better than others.  While I am rarely in a deep depression, only a few seem to understand, and my spouse is not one of the understanding ones.  As spouse descends toward dementia and/or Alzheimer's, and I am the primary caregiver, the burden increases.  May you be in an upward spiral instead of a downward one.

My feeling at reading this echoes@Wayne Gray.  There can be comfort in retreat and silence. Silence is sometimes punctuated by comforts we rarely recognize;  you are as deserving of the sweet caress of a quiet summer breeze and the subtle song of thrushes as any of us. So too, as @MichaelS36 said, may what your friends here say bring some comfort to your retreat.

I'm sorry to hear about your burden.  I know I speak for tim, when I say you're welcome to reach out or visit Mikiesboy Drop in Centre if you need an ear or shoulder. 

Living with depression is difficult for the sufferer. I'll admit it's been hard for me, as a carer as well. 

Take good care of yourself.
