tim's Bits and Pieces - 24. Glue and Atoms

Couple of poems. The last few days i've needed to be alone. Hiding inside myself, until i was repaired.

Glue

And there I was
Parts of me
Spread across the floor
Like stars flung over the night sky.

And there you were
Gathering me
One piece at a time
Shards of splintered glass

You use infinite patience and
A pot of glue, labeled love, to make me whole

Atoms

When my sun goes down, when my world is dark

Atoms scatter and roll into shadowed corners

Then while it is quiet and still; it begins

Magnetic forces slowly draw me together

Making me whole once more

And I can pack myself back into my box

~~~
i haven't been sinking as low as i used to ... i find it easier to put myself back together after my atoms are scattered.
Thanks for reading...you know your thoughts are important to me.. i appreciate whatever you have to say.
so much goes through my mind when i read these, again and again as i have, that i can't possibly put all those thoughts here
the words make me happy, fill me with peace, and joy for you
knowing that you are so much better able to put the pieces back together, and come back to yourself
thank you for sharing this with all of us
xoxo
:heart: this molly. You have perfectly said what a lot of us are thinking and very happy to hear.
Your poems often speak to me, and these two are no exception. Your word choice and imagery catch my imagination. I especially liked "Glue" with its stars, shards of glass, and a pot of glue labeled love. Thanks for sharing these Tim.
Aw, thanks very much Jeffrey ... i appreciate you going back to look at these! xo i am very grateful
Just now reading your poems.  Both of these are good, but love the first one more - been both the scattered stars, and the gatherer.
Always remember that the shards of broken glass put back together make a stained glass window -- when can be more beautiful than an unbroken pane.
thank you for reading some of my poetry ... it is my first love, though i enjoy writing prose, too.  i'm happy you found Glue relatable.  :)
