Timothy - 110. Chapter 110

Gramps had his annual Christmas party the last workday before Christmas. He had it catered to give the cafeteria crew a chance to join the party. Towards the end, he handed everyone their Christmas gift, a box of candy and cookies with a card that included a Christmas bonus. I gave the gift cards to the people who worked in my department. Gramps walked home with us.

I always felt that Gramps would have probably liked to have had more children. This feeling was confirmed when he was with our children, and I knew that he would be putty in their hands when our children were older. I told Stephen this, he laughed.

Christmas morning was something else. Mom and Dad arrived very early with Alex and Ann Marie. Stephen’s folks arrived within minutes of Mom and Dad. Gramps came the night before and stayed with us. Everyone was sitting in the basement, and mom, Ann Marie, and Stephen’s mom had made coffee and a tray of egg and cheese sandwiches. We were sitting around with tree lights on when Randy brought the children down. They were still sleepy, and the grandmothers took over.

I enjoyed this Christmas, family all around us, but we did miss John, Eva, and Eva Marie. “Do you think John and Eva are awake?”

“Call and find out.”

Stephen called and asked to speak to a young lady named Eva Marie. He said he was Santa Claus and missed her house last night.” Then he started to laugh. John and Eva said Merry Christmas, and they will be up in a couple of days.

That evening Donnie and the children’s mother appeared to me, and for the first time, Stephen also experienced this heavenly apparition. Donnie had whispered in his ear before, but this time he was able to see him and the children’s mother. I sensed this would be the last time I would see Donnie. I’ll always know he is around, I have a clone of him.

I loved this story & look forward to seeing the sequel. Stephen's character reminds me of my husband who died suddenly at 55 a year ago.

Stephen is a type that many young people try to imitate. He would be the leader of the geek squad. My condolences. We never know when our time comes. I'm glad Stephen has brought back ended memories.

So far as I have read your stories from you first one all the way to your last one ARROW. I have changed my mind on which one was my favorite a few times. I had skipped Timothy because it said, "on hold" but after a getting bored after catching up with ARROW and waiting for more chapters to be released I started on this one. Timothy has now moved into #1 spot. Excellent story! I hope you get on with the sequel soon.

I am hoping Ann Marie and Alex will get an invite for a tour at the Sisters of Mercy facility, and while there meet a child, or maybe siblings from 6 to 8 or 10 years old that Ann Marie falls in love with instantly, and Alex is also. Might be just what it takes for them to become a complete loving family.

I also think Gramps needs a companion. Aunt Clara is busy right now with being a nanny. She is also probably about 20 years younger than Gramps. But with them being around each other now that she is living with Tim and Stephen, by the time Gramps gets ready to retire in about 4 - 5 years. Randy will be out of college about that time too. Might be far-fetched, but I like the idea!
