Timothy - 9. Chapter 9

The semester finished, Stephen went to work for his grandfather. I spent time home with Mom and Dad when I wasn’t doing outdoor chores for Mrs. Kenner. I checked on Randy and his mother before going back home. I always made sure they were okay.

Stephen had decided he wouldn’t stay in a dorm this year. He said the dorm fees were higher than renting an apartment, and he could use the difference to help Randy and his mother. I think this was his justification for renting Johnny’s vacant apartment. Mrs. Kenner must have said something to him about staying with me. Even though he rented that apartment, he was in my room most of the time. The only time he wasn’t was when he or I had homework.

When Stephen came back, he made arrangements for Randy to start school. He had missed school and could not assume his age grade. Stephen tutored the boy, and it wasn’t unusual to find Stephen and Albert working with Randy in the common room.

Having Stephen living across the hall from me only deepened our love for each other. There was no question that I could see us living together in the future, but we had to finish school first. For me, that would be another three years. Stephen could finish in one year with his B.A. degree, but I had two years of law school before I was finished.

“Stephen, what are we going to do when you finish school? I’ll have two more years before I get my law degree.”

“I was thinking of getting my MBA degree. That will take me two more years.”

I smiled as I grabbed him in a kiss that caused certain parts of our anatomy to come awake.

During our run on the following Sunday morning, Randy joined us. “Stephen, we got a tail.”

Stephen looked back and saw Randy running toward us. We slowed our pace allowing him to catch up to us. He had a math test he wanted to show Stephen. Without stopping, we continued to run while Stephen looked at the paper. “Randy, this is fantastic. Good job. Tim, look at this.”

I looked, and he got a 100. “We need to celebrate. How about a pizza tonight?”

Randy’s eyes seemed to light up. “Can I have a pepperoni pizza?”

“Yes, maybe two.”

When we got to Mrs. Kenner’s, we started our cool-down exercises. “Randy did very well on his math test.”

“I think the boy is smart. I’m sure he would be further ahead if he didn’t miss so much schooling.”

“We better go and get changed. Look, someone is coming up the walk.”

“Can I go with you when you get the pizza?”

“Sure, we need to shower and change. They won’t let us in the pizza place smelling like Tim.”

I started to laugh, “Stephen, you smell worse than me.”

“Randy, who smells worse, Tim or me?”

“Randy, remembering I’m paying.” Then we started to laugh, and soon Randy was laughing as well.

We headed to our rooms to shower and dress. Usually, we shower together, but because Randy was with us, we showered in our rooms. Randy went with Stephen.

I finished showering, dressed in shorts and a t-shirt. I knocked on Stephen’s door. Randy opens the door.

“Stephen hasn’t finished showering .”

“Come on over, and I’ll give you a glass of orange juice. Stephen will come over for a glass when he is done showering.”

As I poured Randy a glass, I began to fix breakfast. As I was finishing the eggs, Stephen showed up. “Randy, you had a good grade on that math test. How are you doing in your other subjects?”

“Okay”

“I have an idea, why don’t you come here and do your homework. If you need help or don’t understand anything, we can help.”

“I have to help my mom.”

“One of us can look in on her while you study.”

“Maybe we can help you at home. We can stop, check your homework, answer any questions.”

As we continued to talk, Randy slowly agreed. We agreed to do it on a trial basis. I knew it would work, and I think Stephen also felt that way.

We met with Randy’s mother and explained what we would do to help Randy in school.

“Stephan, does Randy’s mother look like she is improving? She appeared more aware and awake.”

“I agree. I think having a nurse checking on her, having a doctor making visits once a month, has provided hope.”

“I am sure with Randy back in school and doing well has helped as well.”

Tim and Stephen helping Randy Andy his ailing mother is not only the right thing to do, it also shows the empathy and compassion they both have and share.

While I hope for a happy story, I fear Randy's mother may take a turn. Hope I'm wrong.

Another good story Cal, stay well.

Thank you Tony. Booster shots now. My stories always end happy. 😀

It is very refreshing to  see Tim and Stephen step up to help a mother and her son.  I have seen too many of these type things and it truely breaks your heart to have to leave hoping that family services will do their part.  Randy seems to be doing much better in school with the help of Stephen and TIm.  But also a thanks to Stephen's grandfather as well for a lot of what is happening for Randy and his mother.  I can only hope that she is able to recover to see Randy graduate from school and possibly go on to college.

Tim and Stephen have become quite a couple themselves.  Tim seems to enjoy Stephen staying with him and "filling him up " when he stays.  Since Tim studying to be an attorney, he should be able to have paperwork either finished or nearly finished to take care of Randy in the event of someting not so pleasant happening to his Mother.  We can all hope she recovers.  I still wonder about Johnny as well.  Just to drop out of the picture totally seems odd to me.  Maybe he will show up again at some point and reunite with Tim and Stephen.  The winner in my book is Randy.  WIth Tim and Stephen a very close second.    Great book.  Thanks

I like these guys, Randy seems to be fitting in well with them and it's helping his mum, though one can't help but think it might be the calm before the storm and that boy still has a lot more to go through. Loving the story...:2thumbs:

The story had a rough start and I'm sure I lost a few readers along the way. But life isn't always cookies and cream, I'm sure we all. had to face some sort of unpleasantness. Tim had Johnny to deal with but from that came Stephen and now Randy.

I have a feeling we will see Randy in a new situation with his mother. I'm sure there is someone out there that will help. Johnny is gone and we won't see him anymore. He now plays pro-football. If he did comes back, Tim and Stephen won't permit a threesome.

Tim is at last showing a little personality, so I would rate a little improvement for him.  I am still wondering why he had changed. I don't object to the sex acts themselves, but to the lack of any sense in meaningless sex repeated endlessly without feeling. It is hard to believe that there is enough feeling between Stephen and Tim for them to establish a relationship at this point.
