Timothy - 93. Chapter 93

With Bruce out of our life, we could focus on our life. Ann Marie is in good hands, and I’ll need to find an apartment for her. I’ll approach the Struthers family about the lodge, and I’m sure they would like to have it back in their family.

“Tim, we need to check on Randy and Aunt Clara.”

“Yes, and we need a vacation where we can forget everything and everyone and just concentrate on us.”

“We could relive our honeymoon.”

“Yes, let’s do that. We need to speak to Gramps.”

Stephen went and checked the cruise lines, and I started dinner.

“Stephen, let’s go home on Saturday and return on Sunday. We can see Randy and Aunt Clara and spend some time with Mom and Dad.”

“And?”

“What ?”

“I think you want to gauge the reception of Rich’s column.”

“Yes, I do. Maybe that will be the closure I’m looking for.”

“Okay, do we let them know or surprise them?”

“You can call Randy and tell him, and I’ll call Mom and Dad.”

I was hoping this visit would be closure for me. There still was Tom, but with Alex’s help, I’ll work on providing closure for him as well.

“Tim, where are you?”

“I’m, in the kitchen, making coffee.”

“I called Randy and told him we will see him and Aunt Clara on Saturday. He said to bring all of the baskets we have.”

Laughing, “Have you checked out our cruise options?”

“No, I’ll do that now.”

Laying in bed, “Tim, I think maybe a cruise to South America or the Mediterranean, what do you think?”

“Our honeymoon cruise was in the Mediterranean. I wonder if there is a cruise in the North?”

“I’ll check it out.”

“Let’s check this out.”

In the morning, while I fixed our breakfast, Stephen did a check on cruises.

Sitting on my favorite lap, “Tim, we have two choices. There is a cruise line that goes to Iceland, Ireland, England, then to Holland and France before coming home. There are river cruises, which are a little different.”

“A river cruise, that could be interesting. Why don’t you check them out? Then we can make a decision.” I thought about a river cruise, and it seemed like that would be more relaxing.

Breakfast over, we got dressed and headed south.

“Let’s stop at the farm before going to Mom and Dad’s. When does Randy graduate?”

“I think next year. I’ll ask him what he thinks will be his major in College. Are you still thinking about him going to our University?”

“Yes, unless they don’t have a degree in his major.’

As we neared the farm, Stephen blew the horn. The front door flew open, and Randy was running to meet us. “Be careful you don’t run him over.”

Aunt Clara came out on the porch, “Thank goodness you are here. He was up at six this morning pacing the floor.”

I went to hug Aunt Clara when Randy had Stephen’s hand digging him into the house. I laughed, and I knew where they were headed.

I had a cup of coffee with Aunt Clara. “I’m going to take the car and drive to my Mom and Dad’s place. If you would please tell Stephen. I’m sure Randy will drive him over, and you are welcome to come over as well. I’ll get Mom to fix us lunch.”

I drove to Mom and Dad’s. When I arrived, Dad was pulling into the driveway, I followed him.

“I didn’t expect you. Where is Stephen?”

“We stopped at the farm. Randy will drive him over after they finish whatever they are doing.”

“Have you seen the paper?”

“No, but Rich stopped at the house and showed me his article. I was wondering what was the reaction of the town.”

“They printed comments in today’s paper. Let’s go in the house, and you can read it.”

What will the newspaper (remember those?) say and will it affect Timothy, Stephen and their families?

Whether big cities or small towns, small minds everywhere are resistant to anything outside their status quo. Closed to anything new, prejudice rears its ugly head again and again. Whether in Timothy and Stephen's world or elsewhere.

Timothy and Stephen need to make the most of what they have and what they can change. Randy will always be in their corner as will Donnie 👼 0:), who asked Timothy in a dream  to "Name your first child Donald". But first the guys have to have some 'Us' time to figure out how that is going to happen = surrogacy, adoption or a child literally appearing out of nowhere.

Good thing Tandy doesn't have a chicken coop, otherwise Tim and Stephen's eggs would be all in one basket (sorry, had to go there, but I'm blaming -18 deg weather).

It is not up to Timothy to decide to return the lodge to the family  Struthers and buy an apartment for AM. This is up to AM herself. She is sufficiently cured to be able to decide rationally about this herself. He has to consult with her. This reminds me of the father deciding  about him and is wive moving. And before a decision is made, I would first spend a holiday with the family in the lodge.

I couldn't agree more. The conservatorship the court granted Timothy for AM's care was based on her inability to care for herself. Now that she is recovering and doing well, those properties and financials are hers to deal with and she should be consulted in the matter and also assess in the process to see if she's able to manage her finances in a better manner. As Alex said, she has some growing up now and financial responsibility is a huge part of growing up.

Yayyyyy!!! I'm the first at last 🤣  🤣   🤣   🤣   🤣   🤣   🤣

Cliff-hanger again... loved the chapter. Hope Randy does go to their Uni. Nice windup, but you just know there has to be something around the corner.

Maybe there is and maybe Donnie will help to set Tim and Stephen on a path  of marital bliss

It'll be interesting to read the comments in tomorrows paper. If anything like social media, they're going to be all over the place, some praising and some hating. Glad things seem to getting back to normal and, as always, Timothy and Stephen have Randy under their wing watching out for his future. It's kinda like a couple getting married and before having children they get a family dog and a practice run. I see Randy as Timothy and Stephens practice run - both being loved immensely. Pure hearts those two! ❤️

You are right, the comments will be all over depending on who they are, friends of family versus those who knew what he did.

Most newspapers when they print reactions try to put both sides in but maybe with Bruce being dead and owning up to what he did it may not be so bad I mean people can't be pro rape can they?.Or perhaps its just wishful thinking on my part

I would expect both. If they were seriously hurt by Bruce you might expect something like hey hey the wicked man is dead

I want to see them,  Please I want to read those comments from the paper.

Tim should be happy that things are coming back to what should be normal.  All depending the comments in the paper.  Is the leaker in the DA's office going to  continue to work there?  What of the other victims of Bruce's rape victims?  How many good comments will be seen in the paper as to those who still can only see the side of gay people that will bring the sins into the world.  How nice it would be  to see some revelation happen to those people.  If they only knew that there are gay people all around them.  Police officers, firefighters, doctors, nurses, business owners.  Time for these people to figure out who it was that ended the rapes that happend.  You would think some of these people would want to thank Tim and Stephen.  But alas, maybe some day this may happen.

I think you know the bearer of bad news is never praised but is condemn for bringing the bad news. such is Man

Let's wish the boys a nice 'Bon Voyage' and hope the comments show that there are some, decent, reasonable folks out there!

Still to be addressed are the leaks and corruption that enabled Bruce!

Looking forward to the pitter-patter of little feet!!

The boys believed they have resolved AM's problem and now they must turn to Tom's healing

Timothy still has financial control over AM's money. That may change but it hasn't yet. Originally, Tim was going to place AM there after her hospital stay, that has changed and I would expect Tim to turn the income from that place or the money from the sale of the place to her.

I think that is what Tim has in mind.
