Adam Blake - 171. Chapter 171

Epilogue

As Adam and Marie rested on the hill with the apple trees, life moved on. Marie finished her studies at Kings College and decided to be a doctor, following her mother’s footsteps. She enrolled in her mothers medical school in Philadelphia. Completing her studies, she interned at the same hospital that corrected Anton’s legs. While there, she met another intern and fell in love. Completing their internship, they married. Marie wanted to return to Kings College. Contacting Morgan, she discovered that the current doctors would retire at the end of the current season. Morgan was glad that Marie had contacted him as he was hoping she would want to return to the College and Academy.

Marie and her husband, Michael, spent the summer at the cabin, assisting the doctor at the clinic. Only now it wasn’t called the cabin anymore, now it was Adam’s Retreat. Over the years since Adam had died, his sons had the land fenced in under Gerry’s prompting. They extended the land by buying all of the grounds around the top of the lake to the house across the lake. On the lakeside where Marie’s house existed, they built guest bedrooms. At the north end of the lake, they extend the chalets. These chalets were for the girls and contained six beds per chalet. There was a break between the boys’ chalets and the girls. There were lodges built for staff and more trees were planted.

Marie and Michael occupied one of the bedrooms in the Cabin. In the evening, you would find them on the hill with the apple tree, sitting on a concrete stool, planning their future.

The school season began, and now staffed the clinic was staffed by Marie and Michael. They had three children, all boys. The oldest was named \Michael Adam, the second oldest was named Gerald Adam, and the youngest was named Adam Michael.

Adam stayed at Kings College and got his Doctorate in education. He applied for a teaching job at his dad’s college in the south. Gerry convinced Adam to move to Liechtenstein, and he now teaches at the university there. He met a young lady, and they got married. Gerry told him Dad said it would be a good marriage. Adam had two children, a boy named Adam and a girl named Marie. Gerry said they would be blessed. He had it on good authority. Adam was on the Board and accompanied Gerry to Board meetings.

The board meeting was scheduled for four days from the original two days. It seemed with all of the family there, they needed more time to catch up on what was happening and enjoying their time together.

Billy and Anna won a gold medal n the 5000-meter race. Billy won silver in the 10,000-meter race, and Anna won a gold medal in the girls’ 10,000-meter race. Johnny was always with them when they ran. He was their coach. Now Liechtenstein had a team of runners as well as skiers heading toward the Olympics.

Billy had a son who he was coaching to be a runner. He names his son William Adam, after his dad and Adam, who had faith in him being an Olympian. Billy was the athletic director at his university, from which he retired.

Scott became a coach at the local high school and was held in awe by the boys. A football hero to many and someone to look up to. He married his University sweetheart and had two children, a boy named after his dad and a girl named after his mother.

Bobby played pro ball and became a coach of a national football team. There was a rumor around the small town where Adam’sRetreat was located that a man said Bobby was his son. No one believed him, and soon he became the laughing stock of the town. Alcohol finally did him in.

Evelyn passed away, and the boys bought a nice stone for her. She was interred in the town’s cemetery. The boys are successful and call Adam’s Retreat home. They still visit their Mother’s final resting place and stay at Adam’s Retreat. For them, that was and is home.

Adam and Marie lived a life characterize by love and devotion to their family and their students. Their rewards were love and friendship.

Thank you. To answer your question, yes that boy who said Bobby was his son was the father.

Mr. Jobe - you have done it, again.  Your EPIC Chronology of Adam Blake and his love of his boys has once again proven you a Master Wordsmith!

I enjoyed the entire saga.  As I have told you before, one of your strengths is the great effort you put into building your characters in such a way that endears them to the readers.

However - after consuming 172 chapters - it is obvious that the main order of praise is simply thanking you for the amazing amount of WORK you put into this delightful read.

Thank You.
